Hi and welcome to CampgroundViews.com We are here in the lovely Florida Keys the only tropical paradise you can take your RV to. We are going to show you what there is to see, do, and explore in this America’s tropical paradise.

Yes I said tropical paradise twice and yes I was wearing two pairs of sunglasses I am crazy like that. Your first stop in Key Largo should be John Pennekamp State Park.

The park protects not land but water and specifically corral reef. You can get a glass bottom boat tour that takes you out to the reef. Allows you to see the bottom and check out all the various corral formations and fish that live here in the Keys. A lot of fun and not super expensive makes for a great trip for kids and adults alike.

Once you get back to the main land head over to Robbie’s. This is another great place for cheap fun. Pay a few dollars to go out onto the docks and feed small fish to the big fish. Specifically Tarpon. They can get up to about 7 or 8 feet long and will jump out of the water to grab the fish from your hand. Just watch out for the pelicans that hang out and try to steal the fish from your hand.

If feeding fish isn’t your thing then bring along the kayaks. The lovely thing about the Keys is there are miles and miles of calm water that allows you to paddle. During our stay at Sunshine Key RV Resort we were able to paddle right over to Bahia Honda State Park and enjoy the white sand beaches and turquoise waters. There is a fee involved so just be aware of that or be ready to escape out into the water… your choice.

And if you are in the keys you obviously have to hit Key West. Key West is a tourist playground with many sites and sounds and signs to checkout. You have mile marker 0 on US 1, Duval Street, the lowest point in the 48, tons of shopping, entertainment, history, tours, museums, and even the Little White House. All plenty of fun to check out and explore.

When you finish off your day at the docks for the sunset festival. There is a number of street performers, displays, and performances all while sailboats cruise back and forth. Enjoy the sunset and catch your perfect picture.

Leaving Key West you pass through Big Pine Key. Stop and check out the Key Deer. Just cruise through the neighborhoods and you will see them grazing along the side of the road on the grass.

The Florida Keys are a great destination for RVtravel. there are plenty of RV Parks from cheap to expensive and from pretty to not so great. You can see them all at CampgroundViews.com. So get in that RV and cruise down US 1 and take your RV to America’s tropical paradise. This is Mark Koep thank you and goodbye.
