Camp Hatteras Resort & RV Park - My Rating is out of 5 -- Camp Hatteras is an amazing resort. Plenty to do for everyone in your group. Indoor pool, dog park, store, etc. They have everything you need for an enjoyable vacation. We loved being right on the beach for fishing and shelling. Claim your place in the sand early as it gets crowded with so many campgrounds close together.

Cape Woods Campground - My Rating is out of 5 -- Cape Woods is a great destination to be close to the lighthouse. Many restaurants and shopping are close by. Easy access sites although transient sites are somewhat narrow. Majority of the park is seasonal and annual. Very friendly people throughout the park. Nice shower houses with laundry. Fish cleaning station with running water. Wi-Fi was strong everywhere in the park. We recommend visiting this park if your in the area. It can be difficult to secure a space, so plan to make reservations long in advance.

Hatteras Sands Resort - My Rating is 4 out of 5 -- Great campsites convenient to the Hatteras-Okracoke Ferry. Back in to the canal or pull thru the center. 30/50 amp service with full hookups and cable. Swimming pool was clean and refreshing. Bath houses were very clean with ample counter space for toiletry bags, etc. Store on site offered some items you may have missed. Fish cleaning station and canoe/kayak launch within the campground. Close to local restaurants and shopping. They offer cabins and a couple of mobile homes if your traveling with family that need accommodations outside of an RV. Pet friendly, but could use a small dog park. Sites are paved with grass areas around the RV. Will stay here again and highly recommend.

Boone KOA - My Rating is 4 out of 5 -- All rows are pull through sites with full hookups. Tent loop and cabins are located on the perimeter of the campground. Playground and pool, clean, well maintained bath house. And a convenient restroom near the cabins. Relatively small compared to other KOA's. Close to Boone but far enough away to be peaceful.

Buck Hill Campground - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- Small family owned campground with direct river access for fishing and tubing. Most RV sites are seasonally occupied, There are several tent sites and cabins that range from 2 to 8 people. The bathhouse offers great hot showers and plenty of room changing. The gathering room offers board games, DVD, books, TV, and ice is seasonally available. We would stay here again. The fishing is excellent, close to town with many restaurants. Not far is access to the Blue Ridge Parkway for exploring Grandfather Mountain, Linville Gorge, and surrounding areas. AN excellent park for families, gravel roads for biking, and a small fishing pond are just steps away for your enjoyment.

Lazy “J” Campground - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- Family owned campground located close to the town yet has an "away" appeal . Convenient to grab ice, drinks, gas, etc at local markets, less than 15 minutes away. Some sites are creekside. There are two group sites available. Bath houses are very clean.
