Winnemucca RV Park - My Rating is 3 out of 5 -- We stayed overnight on our way East on 80. The campground is very clean, level and well run. There is a store on site with limited RV supplies and convenience groceries. We paid about 40 with tax which is a bit steep for such a basic camp. 20/night would have been a little more reasonable for a stopover.

Snowflower Thousand Trails RV Resort - My Rating is 4 out of 5 -- Snowflower is a mixed campground, 3 sections are Snowflower Inc, members and the rest are Thousand Trails member spots. We stayed in may and had the place to ourselves during the week. The park is huge with incredible vista points and plenty of hiking opportunities. The lake is full of healthy trout and the surrounding scenery is breathtaking. The campground is run as you might expect any TT camp, just well enough. The 4 stars are due to the location and "nature".

San Francisco RV Resort - My Rating is 3 out of 5 -- There aren't many options for staying close to downtown SF, and this place works great for close proximity to everything you want to do while you are in town. The spots are a little tight as you should expect in any beach town. Pacifica is typically foggy with a chilly breeze blowing off the ocean. The park sits on a bluff overlooking the Pacific Ocean, but there is no beach access, just sheer cliffs that are eroding. There is a Safeway, post office and several stores within walking distance. There is a trail that runs along the cliff so transients can happen through the park so be sure to lock up your belongings at night.

Santa Cruz Monterey Bay KOA - My Rating is 4 out of 5 -- Check in was a breeze, the front desk in on top of their game. The spots are very spacious. Our spot has a place for the motorhome, a concrete pad and a parking spot for our Jeep, as well as plenty of room around the fire ring. There is every amenity you would need here if you have children and it's close to the beach. Easy drive to Monterey and Santa Cruz, which is why we chose to stay here. We would stay here again.

Riverside Campground - My Rating is 3 out of 5 -- The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The campground is tucked down on a stream in the woods and has a very "camp" feel, which is what we were looking for. They are mostly tent or small trailer spots and we were pushing it with our 35' motorhome. We stopped here on our way up PCH for 2 nights. I scored it 3 stars because I was a little uncomfortable with the evidence of big rock/mud slides into the camp (the adjacent spot was taped off with caution tape and we were right up against the same hill). Also, no sewer hookups and the wifi shouldn't even be advertised. You would think someone coming to the woods for a weekend could survive without wifi, however just checking things like where parks and trails are, restaurant reviews (this place is a trap, 5.00 gas and 15.00 sandwiches) etc. was pretty challenging. We have both ATT and Verizon and we tried the camp hookup. All three were not cutting it. It's a nice camp, but not for larger rigs and it's not cheap.

Pacific Dunes Ranch and RV Resort - My Rating is 4 out of 5 -- We really enjoyed our stay here at Pacific Dunes. We had a pull through site on the upper level with views of the dunes and beach access. It's a "beach" property so the site sizes are as expected. The most amazing part of the place is the dunes access and the ability to hike out on the dunes any time day or night. Dogs are allowed as well. Our kids boogie boarded down the massive sand dunes and were able to walk to the beach (although it is a hike, it's actually better to drive down to Pier Street and access the beach by car). For 5.00 you can drive right out on the beach and there were all kinds of vehicles out there, not just 4x4's. We would definitely stay here again. We love the Central California coast.

Bayou Segnette State Park Campground - My Rating is 3 out of 5 -- Safe clean park with very spacious sites, close enough to the city, but far enough away if you know what I mean. This is a much better option if you are in town with children, we didn't find downtown to be ideal for kids. It's nice to visit, but the bayou was more education and more our speed. We made wonderful friends at this park who we still keep in touch with. Downtown NOLA is an experience for sure.

Thousand Trails Soledad Canyon Park - My Rating is 4 out of 5 -- Great park, spacious sites and plenty of activities and amenities. It's nice that they have an adult pool and lounge, that way you don't have to worry about your kids bothering anyone who doesn't want to be around kids. There are several sections to the park, each are very nice. We chose the N section because it's the highest ground and provides the best signal for wifi and mobile phones. This is one of the nicer TT parks we have been to.

Thousand Trails Las Vegas - My Rating is 3 out of 5 -- Decent park, well kept and nice staff. Tight spots as you would expect and not many amenities. It's a fine park if you're looking to stay close to the action. It feels safe inside the park, but the neighborhood is not the greatest. West of the strip seems a little more upscale than East of the strip.

Flagstaff KOA - My Rating is 4 out of 5 -- Great park not too far off I40. Plenty of sites, not all level though. The best part is that the park backs up to the mountain and there are awesome hiking trails. Nicest park in the area.

Palo Duro Canyon State Park Campground - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- What a great park. Don't let the canyon decent scare you, it's totally worth it to camp on the canyon floor. We made it in with our Class A towing the whole way down. Tons of hiking and rock climbing and plenty of history as well. It is so unbelievably quiet here and you can see all the stars in the sky at night.

American RV Park of Albuquerque - My Rating is 4 out of 5 -- Crisp clean campground with very friendly staff. Awesome view of the Albuquerque metro area. Just a few miles to downtown down old RT 66. Every spot appears to be level, not a bad spot in the place. I didnt give it 5 stars because it's too close to I40 and is a bit noisy. It's a perfect spot for visiting the area or just stopping off for the night.

Jolly Roger RV Resort - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- We have stayed a total of 5 weeks at this resort. It is awesome! Grassy Key is the quiet end of Marathon. Close enough to get to town easy, but far enough to feel like you are in more of the remote keys. Great staff, very friendly. New pool, marina, snorkling and swimming area and row of sea wall spots that would be in the ocean if they were any closer to the water. We have seen so much spectacular wildlife cruise by the docks here, manatee, dolphins, sharks, octopus, parrotfish, tons of snappers, lobster. I would live here if I could. :) The only thing missing is an onsite bar/cafe, but still worth 5 stars. Great job Jolly Roger.

Long Key State Park Campground - My Rating is 4 out of 5 -- We did not stay in the campground because we couldn't get a spot, however it looks really nice. We have been here several times with our FL park pass to hike the orb spider trail (lots of fun, great views and lots of information along the way). Definitely worth the stop.

Fiesta Key RV Resort and Marina - My Rating is 3 out of 5 -- This is a nice property, but like most resorts in the keys the spots are tight, even the premium ones. There is a well protected marina, nice pool and sandy area to lay in the sun under palm trees. There is a great store on site that has most of the provisions you need because it is a hike to the closest grocery store. The staff are all nice enough, but like most of the Encore parks we have visited there seems to be some management issues. They are also missing a big opportunity with the on site bar/cafe. There is usually only one really overwhelmed person in there and they close early on days you would expect happy hour and some live music. They are not far from 4 stars, just needs a little improvement.

Rainbow Springs State Park - My Rating is 4 out of 5 -- Hidden Gem. Clean level lots, packed gravel (not too bad on tracking in factor), spacious and private. Nice ramp and dock area to put your boat or tube in. Very secluded and private. Not a lot of facilities or amenities, but that's what you expect at a State Park campground. We found swimming in the Rainbow Spring to be much better than the other springs. It is so fresh and clean, very little algae. It was so clear and blue! Salt Springs is not as nice, but definitely worth a visit too.

Wilderness RV Park Estates - My Rating is 4 out of 5 -- This is a great place to stay while visiting Ocala National Forest. If a mobile signal is important to you, I would stay here as you will not get a signal at the camps out in the Forest. Clean level lots, paved with enough room to spread out a bit. There is a Preserve for class A's who who want more room and I believe that section is age restricted. The facilities are nice and there is a game room with a pool table and an on site restaurant. The manager Brian is very nice and accommodating. The river is decent for fishing and there is a nice long nature trail.

The Campsites at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- One of the very few campgrounds we can give a 5 star rating. Clean level lots, paved and private. Wonderful check in process. Facilities are maintained as you would expect a Disney property to be maintained, excellent pool and sports equipment, the best recreational activities team we have encountered on the road and plenty of transportation to get where you want to go. The 10pm Disney music they play throughout the forest at quiet hours is pretty cool too. 5 stars all the way, worth the premium price if you can afford it. Even if you only go for 2 nights, it will spoil you.

Lazydays RV Resort - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- After 2 years on the road, 19 States and a large variety of campground stays, Lazy Days has earned a 5 star rating from the Thomas Family. Clean level lots, fully paved spots (not spacious, but enough room for sure), newspaper delivery and trash pickup daily and well maintained facilities and amenities. The check in staff is extremely friendly and pretty quick. Evening security. The on site restaurant/bar is good, the pool is very modern, clean and heated and the activities manager (Jay I believe) is excellent with the kids. There is also a 100 acre sales center across the street where you can walk through almost every kind of rv from pop ups to Prevost without a team of salespeople breathing down your neck. The entire operation is very well run and they make you want to be part of the lazy days family. We did not buy our rig here but would strongly consider it after visiting twice over the last year.
