Rafter J Bar Ranch Campground - My Rating is out of 5 -- Sites were good, mostly shady where we were, pretty spacious, the pool looked wonderful, we loved the sand volleyball court. Close to many of the local sites. It is well maintained and clean. Laundry room was clean and nice. Full hook ups

Kickapoo State Recreation Area - My Rating is 4 out of 5 -- The park was very well maintained except for the water, there was a broken water line so getting water to our trailer was not easy. There was good cell service for AT&T, it has paved roads and the sites are gravel and mostly level with the sites being a good size. We would stay there again. They do charge higher for holiday weekends. We were there for 10 days from the July 2nd to July 12th. They had the best fire rings I have ever seen in a park! Lots of wild life in the park and campgrounds. We camped at Kickapoo State Recreation Area in a Fifth Wheel.

Lake Minatare State Recreation Area - My Rating is 4 out of 5 -- We just returned home from Nebraska, stayed at Lake Minatare in Minatare, NE it was a nice state Park with only 30 amp electric. The park was clean, with clean bathrooms and showers. Also had a laundry facility. The grass (weeds too) was a little overgrown, could have used some trimming. The space between the lots was anywhere from 15 feet to 30 feet, with bushes and leafy olive trees between them. Our spot was on the lake inlet side so we had a "river" that flowed into the lake with lots of fisherman with boats. Fishing was very good from what I observed. The sites are all paved asphalt or concrete with grassy areas for the picnic table and fire ring. Our picnic area was un-level and very hard for us to walk on. We could get both our 40' 5th wheel and our 1 ton quad door dually in the spot. We were there after Labor Day so nice and quiet. There were lots of flies though, that was the only bad thing. We were there visiting family. The area is rich in history of the covered wagon days. Within minutes of the Chimney Rock museum, Scotts Bluff National Monument And of course I didn't take but one picture. The cost was $20 a night, for 30 amp, water hydrants were located through out the campground and there was a dump station near the entrance of the park. You can also do primitive camping on the lake beach with campers and tents.
