    In 2019, our campground was born from a humble dream sketched on a paper napkin. Through unwavering dedication, determination, precise execution, and a touch of grace, we turned that vision into a vibrant reality. As we prepare to close for the winter, we take a moment to reflect on the journey of the past three seasons. At the heart of our mission is a steadfast commitment to prioritize family. We exist to create a haven where families can forge lasting memories, immerse themselves in nature, and relish life’s simple pleasures. This enduring belief shapes every aspect of our campground experience, and we look forward to continuing this enriching journey in the seasons ahead.

    The famous fishing on the Mississippi River draws crowds of anglers each year. The most popular species is the channel catfish, earning the city of Potosi the nickname “Catfish Capital of Wisconsin.” Other species include bluegill, walleye, crappie, northern pike and bass. Aside from fishing, boating and water sports are the most popular activities, and a boat ramp is available at the campsite for visitors.

    Highland Ridge overlooks the sparkling Eau Galle Reservoir located in Spring Valley, in western Wisconsin. The area boasts 648 acres of scenery with numerous opportunities for recreation, including fishing, canoeing and plenty of hiking. Horseback riders enjoy the trails around the lush region.

    Highland Ridge has forty-six campsites including eight walk-in tent sites. Showers, trash/recycle stations, an interpretive building, water fill stations, dump station, and a playground are all available for campers. During the summer, weekly interpretive programs are presented on Saturday evenings by the Park Rangers. Highland Ridge; Equestrian Loop has ten non-electrical sites. Manure pits, hitching posts, satellite toilets, water fill stations, dump station, and garbage/recycling stations are available for campers.
    The 35-mile Eau Galle River feeds into 150 acre Eau Galle Lake, which is surrounded by steep hills and bluffs. The campground is opposite the dam on the north side of the small reservoir. The area is set in a heavily wooded area that provides a welcoming habitat for native plants and animals.
    Hikers can enjoy the 7 miles worth of trails, along with overlook seating areas and a swimming beach. Horseback riders have a variety of trails to choose from. Fishermen cast their reels year-round. Kayaking, canoeing, and electric-motor boating are common.

    Blackhawk Park is located on a forested bend of the main channel of the Mississippi River. The campground is the largest public use facility in Mississippi’s Pool 9, offering a wide variety of recreational activities.

    The campground offers 150 campsites, including 73 with electrical hookups. All sites have a picnic table and fire ring provided. Flush toilets and showers are located in the West Camping loop. There are no full-hook up sites but a dump station and potable water are located within the park. The park also has a beach, two picnic shelters, two boat ramps, two playgrounds, a volleyball court, horseshoe pits, fishing docks.
    Boating, kayaking, canoeing and fishing are Blackhawk’s most popular forms of recreation. Park rangers provide a variety of programs and activities throughout the summer. Interpretive programs are based on recreation, local history and the environment. Other activities range from guided walks and campfire talks, to natural crafts programs. Here, one can view majestic bluffs and rich backwater vegetation. Sometimes a river barge or classic paddle-wheeled steamboat can be seen journeying up the river.

     

    Pine Point Campground is located in Bayfield, CO situated next to Vallecito Reservoir in southwestern Colorado. Visitors enjoy the area for its beautiful scenery and wide range of recreational activities, including boating, fishing and hiking.

    The campground offers single-family sites, each equipped with a picnic table and campfire ring. Vault toilets and drinking water are provided.

    Vallecito Reservoir is a very popular fishing lake, with anglers casting for German brown trout, cutthroat trout, rainbow trout, kokanee salmon and northern pike. Boating, water skiing and canoeing are popular activities. A sheltered area for boats and an open play area are just south of the campground. A variety of hiking and horseback riding trails are found in the area. The North Canyon Trail climbs through ponderosa pine and aspen forests. A short side trail leads to a scenic overlook of the lake. East Creek Trail provides access to a lightly used, scenic drainage where fly-fisherman can be seen casting for brook trout.

    North Canyon Campground located in is situated next to Vallecito Reservoir in southwestern Colorado. Visitors enjoy the area for its beautiful scenery and wide range of recreational activities, including boating, fishing and hiking.

    The campground offers single-family sites, many of which have lake views. Sites are equipped with a picnic table and campfire ring. Vault toilets and drinking water are provided.

    Vallecito Reservoir is a very popular fishing lake, with anglers casting for German brown trout, cutthroat trout, rainbow trout, kokanee salmon and northern pike. The lake offers great boating, water skiing and canoeing opportunities. Boat rentals and fishing licenses are available at various locations around the lake. A variety of hiking and horseback riding trails are found in the area. The North Canyon Trail begins across the road from the campground and leads through ponderosa pine and aspen forests. A short side trail leads to a scenic overlook of the lake. East Creek Trail begins a quarter-mile northeast of the campground, on Forest Road 852. It provides access to a lightly used, scenic drainage where fly-fisherman cast for brook trout. Both trails are popular with horseback riders, however, horses are not allowed in the campground.

     

     

    Mont Du Lac Resort in Superios Wisconsin provides full hookup RV sites in a newly opened (2019) recreational resort. The new area includes six new cabins, a playground, a beach, and a floating water park. Also new is a marina with dock access to the St. Louis River and watercraft that is available for rental. The resort also expanded their tent site and added two new slope side cabins.

    For decades, Mont du Lac Resort has offered visitors unparalleled views of the St. Louis River from the top of its glacially carved mountain. With two lodges, cabins, an RV Resort and dining, Mont du Lac is the premier destination for families to enjoy outdoor adventures year-round.

    Great Northern Campground in Gleason Wisconsin provides partial hookup RV and tent camping with a large swimming pond with sand beach, showers and flush toilets. The campground is conveniently located on the ATV/UTV trail and all riders are welcome. Daily and seasonal sites are available. Dogs are welcome at the campground as well.

    Big Dog Daddy’s Roadhouse and Resort in Bay City Wisconsin will open in 2018 with 17 full hookup RV campsites (14 seasonal sites and 3 short term sites). A mix of pull thru and backin options the resort will eventually have 40 plus campsites, cabins, restrooms and a pavilion. Adjacent to a rejuvenated bar the location is popular with motorcyclists.

    Located across the Mississippi River from Red Wing the park is situated in a rural area.

    Coconut Cove Resort in Hazel Green Wisconsin just north of Dubuque Iowa is a brand new RV resort opening in 2018. The park will provide guests with full hookup RV sites that can handle any sized RV. Located right along the banks of the Mississippi River the resort is being designed and built as a top tier destination. Family friendly amenities including a pool, bar, playgrounds and water play areas.

    Coconut Cove Resort offers seasonal and short term rates with options for premium pull thru all the way down to value sites. All guests get access to resort features and amenities. Nightly rates vary by season and site type chosen. Scheduled entertainment and a positive vibe are expected at this location.

    Annie’s Campground in Gresham Wisoconin provides partial hookup RV and tent camping sites in a family oriented campground. A mix of seasonal and short term sites. Annie’s Campground has gravel roads and gravel sites with mowed grass in between (some sites are grass also). Each site has a picnic table and fire rings. Guests have access to restrooms with showers, a swimming pond and fishing pond, clubhouse/ tavern (serving bar food and pizza). Open seasonally the park has scheduled activities.

    Sites are available in a shaded setting or out in the open. Any size RV can fit at this park.

    Annie’s Campground is midway between Green Bay and Wausau, four miles north of highway 29, between Shawano and Wittenberg and is open to the public, with 200 sites and 12 cabins and all the FUN stuff!.

    Annie’s has planned activities every weekend in the summer and themed events year round. We have large, sites with water and 20/30/50 amp electric hook up, family toilet and shower rooms at the bath house and pavilion, large camp store, ATM, Irish Pub and Grub with full-bar service and great food, LP refill, ice, firewood, ice-cream, homemade pizza, Friday night fish fry, pastries, toiletries, groceries, indoor playground, paintball, and more!

    Our large pavilion is a great place to meet with friends, colleagues, and friends anytime of the year; we can accommodate large and small parties, events, meetings, and family reunions. We open for special events in our off-season, upon request.

    Our 12 log cabins have air conditioning, flush toilets, hand wash sink, mini-fridge, coffee pot, and microwave. For families with older kids or who wish to spend a lot of time at the beach, we have four cabins on the ponds, near the waterfall that sleep up to six people (cabins 8-11, no pets at these).

    The Fun stuff includes: inflatable waterpark, jumping pillow, GaGa Ball Pit, swimming pond with cool inflatable toys for older kids and adults, waterfall with wading pond, little kid swim zone, multiple playgrounds, indoor playground, jumping pillow, space ball trampoline, hiking/biking/nature trails, fishing pond, mini-golf, boat, paddle boats, kayak, corcls, animal petting zoo, 5 nature ponds, and the planned activities for the day (Saturdays).

    Shangri-La Campground in Wisconsin Dells Wisconsin offers partial and primitive hookup RV and tent camping for short term stays and full hookup RV camping for seasonal stays in a heavily wooded setting near the raceway. The newer park is developing amenities as time progresses with a small pool bathhouse and other features added regularly. Gravel roads and parking pads the sites are set in the woods. Mowed grass with fire rings.

    Ho-Chunk Gaming RV Park near Baraboo Wisconsin offers 49 RV sites with paved roads and gravel parking pads. Pull thru and backin RV sites vary be size and rate. Set in an open area near the casino the RV park has a small playground, dump station and restrooms with showers. Suitable for RVs and able to handle large RVs the park is easy to navigate and convenient to US 12. Guests must check-in at the hotel lobby. Each site has a picnic table and fire ring.

    Eagle Flats Campground in Wisconsin Dells Wisconsin provides full hookup RV camping catering to seasonal guests. The park is close to the popular Dells area attractions and is convenient to the Interstate. Sites are set in the open with a few shade trees. All the roads are dirt and sites are on mowed grass. For short term guests there are a few sites available but be aware that the targeted audience is the seasonal campers that keep their units there all year. The park has a pool. A gated location catering to seasonal guests there is no on-site office and this location is best suited for the seasonal guests.

    Tamarack Springs Campground near Conover Wisconsin offers 9 primitive campsites, with the Campground Host occupying one site. Each campsite includes a fire ring with attached grill, and a picnic table. Most campites are located on the east side of Tamarack Creek, which runs north to south through the campground. Campsites #7, #8, & #9 are located on the west side of the Creek, near the picnic area. The picnic area contains 3 picnic tables and cooking grills.

    A hand pump for fresh water is located between campsites #1 & #2. Scenic Tamarack Creek runs through the campground, providing fishing opportunities. There are latrines located on either side of Tamarack Creek. This Campground has direct access to the Vilas County ATV trail system.

    Torch Lake Campground & RV Park near Conover Wisconsin is a new (as of 2017) publicly owned campground developed and maintained by Vilas County. Offering 20 partial hookup (water and electric) RV and tent sites each site has a picnic table and fire ring.

    Torch Lake Campground & RV Park has direct access to the Vilas County ATV trail system, and is a short walk from Torch Lake Beach. Each site is massive in size with the shortest being over 80′ long. Set in a wooded setting the nightly rate is $35 PLUS a $10 advanced reservation fee. A dump station is available as is a restroom.
