A nice place to stop for the night. Easy to backin the site was plenty long to stay hooked up and plenty level too. Had an enjoyable ride along the multi-use trail along the waters edge. Took a dip in the water to cool off and took a stroll on the city center trail to visit the capital building. Inexpensive there was a mix of over night guests, folks visiting the area, and some others who may have no where else to go. The tent sites were very nice set right on the grass edge above the rocky beach and water. Verizon 4G was solid we paid $16 fir the evening.

What campers say
Griffin Park Campground is a small, budget-friendly city park RV area on the Missouri River offering river views and walking-distance access to beaches, splash pad, trails, playgrounds and sports courts. Sites are large and big-rig friendly with electrical hookups and a dump station; potable water is available near the dump but there are no individual water hookups. Surfacing is crushed asphalt/gravel with little shade. Restrooms and coin showers are nearby, though some visitors report inconsistent cleanliness. Expect a basic, convenient overnight or short-stay option; occasional long-term vehicles or worker rigs have been noted.
