This is a nice, family-run campground, in a great location in St. Ignace. There is a mixture of partial and full hook-up sites, we were in FHU. The sites are shaded, and they each have a picnic bench and fire pit, with a decent amount of outside space. It’s a very quiet campground, and the owners are very friendly and helpful.

There is laundry room and clean showers and restrooms. There is a dump station on site. They do have wifi but it is not brilliant so don’t rely on it.

It’s a short drive or nice walk down to the lake and then into St. Ignace, where there are a variety of shops, restaurants, coffee shops etc, as well as a nice boardwalk along the lake.

There is a ferry service to Mackinac Island and the office will tell you which service to use. The one we used (which they recommended) ran a shuttle bus to the park, so you don’t even have to take your car to the ferry terminal – though there is free parking there anyway.

We got Passport America discount for our three night stay, which made the rate $19 a night (FHU) and for this we think it is excellent value.
