My Comments

Pine Lake RV Resort & Cottages - My Rating is out of 5 -- Easily one of the nicest RV resorts we have ever stayed at I would highly recommend if you're looking for top-notch services and locations to stay here. You do pay for that though we paid $70 a night early in their season. I would not hesitate to stay here again

Mosquito Lake State Park - My Rating is out of 5 -- Site 218 is the best site in this campground you back up with your door overlooking the lake stayed here during the winter and enjoyed our stay electric hookups easy to access with our 30 foot RV nice ambiance and there was only 2 other campers in the entire campground There is a dump station with water and trash cans available Verizon cell phone was excellent

Tri-State RV Park - My Rating is out of 5 -- Open year round we pulled in here in late winter and had full hookups available nice lady in the office easy to access pull through simple on and off from the freeway $50 a night.

Love’s RV Hookup – Brookville - My Rating is out of 5 -- Backing full hookup sites in the perimeter of the auto fuel station. Not bad for an overnight. Lots of movement.

Indiana Dunes State Park - My Rating is out of 5 -- Great stay at this awesome park. Very busy even in the off season.

Love’s RV Stop – Normal - My Rating is out of 5 -- $58/ night for a full hookup spot. Clean safe and reasonably quiet given the location. Smart concept and okay done. Challenge potentials, bathhouse and laundry are way up in the office. Windmill across the highway suggests it is windy here a lot. Pros: clean and simple to use. Price keeps it clean.

Blythe Island Regional Park Campground - My Rating is out of 5 -- One of those special places to come camping this is a very nice county park set into a natural setting with sites that are plenty big there are a lot of trees around so take caution when navigating into the park but any size RV can truly fit here we enjoyed the hiking trails and the lakes and also enjoyed the overall hobbies this is the probably our third time staying here and it's a memorable place return to

Myrtle Beach Travel Park - My Rating is out of 5 -- I would call this place paradise we spent 2 weeks here and enjoyed every second of it we chose a site that was a back in overlooked the Lake and it was both scenic quiet and close enough to the ocean to give us actpool and staff in the Wi-Fi once here if we could break location

Myrtle Beach Travel Park - My Rating is out of 5 -- What a wonderful place to stay in the winter. Very quiet and peaceful. Ocean/ Beach are awesome and the heated indoor pool is amazing. Wifi good too.

Cunningham RV Park - My Rating is out of 5 -- The good: sites available, utilities work, playground area was big enough to blow off some steam. The bad: long term guests, the smell of pot from said guests wafting through the playground area.

Renfro Valley Entertainment Center RV Park - My Rating is out of 5 -- We stopped by this one before heading over to the KOA. This is one would stay at if we were there for a festival or tavelling without kids. Wide open and big sites. Easy to get in and out.

Renfro Valley KOA - My Rating is out of 5 -- Very nice staff and great overnight. Fast wifi and great kid play areas. Drive up and down the hill into the park requires calm nerves as the roads are steep. Verizon 4G. We would stay again.

Sam Parr State Fish & Wildlife Area - My Rating is out of 5 -- $18 for electric hookups in. Beautiful and quiet setting. Verizon 4G was okay. We were the only guests in late Jan.

Sam Parr State Fish & Wildlife Area - My Rating is out of 5 -- Correct url https://dnr.illinois.gov/parks/camp/park.samparr.html

Pine Lakes Resort – Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Camp Resort - My Rating is out of 5 -- Update url https://jellystonepinelakes.com/

Schuy-Rush Park - My Rating is out of 5 -- Update url https://www.facebook.com/people/Schuy-Rush-Lake-Campground-2023/100063558101569/?ref=br_rs

Lake Park Campground & Cottages - My Rating is out of 5 -- Great service they have a few sites open during the winter but do not advertise it. Great customer service

TaHaZouka Park - My Rating is out of 5 -- Great city park open all year. They even plowed out a few sites following the blizzard last week!

Pima County Fairgrounds RV Park - My Rating is out of 5 -- Lots of big full hookup spots for a reasonable price. Quiet area and convenient shopping not too far away. Verizon 4g is solid.

3 Dreamers RV Park - My Rating is out of 5 -- Stayed overnight on our way to California. $15 for full hookups. Very quiet, level site and Verizon 4G worked well. No complaints

Indian Hills RV Resort - My Rating is out of 5 -- Way too pricey for an overnight stop, lots of comparablrle less expensive options in the area, for a long term stay the price is reasonable and the sites are ample. Verizon 4G was excellent as the tower is right there.

Village Creek State Park - My Rating is out of 5 -- Wonderful state park in an amazing setting. We were in loop b where the full hookup sites were. Big pull thru. Paid $40 bucks. Wifi is a 3rd party fee based using viasat which was the only connectivity available. Stayed overnight could easily have stayed longer.

Chehaw Campground Georgia - My Rating is out of 5 -- Great find. $28+$11tax for a full hookup site large enough for any RV. Site has a packed pad that has had grass overgrown making for a nice setting. The park is well manicured and served as a very comfortable overnight stay. Update your website address to https://chehaw.org/index.php/facilities-rentals/camping/35-camping

Midway Campground - My Rating is out of 5 -- A paved loop with paved backin sites along it. Electric hookups at every rv site. Every site is 90 degrees to the road making it tough to get and out without tearing up the grass. Secenic lake in the middle with enough alligator warning signs to tip one off that they are there a lot. We paid $15 for the night and got a good rest before visiting Shark Valley. A unique experience.

James Island County Park - My Rating is out of 5 -- This is a county run park that knows it is the bomb. Full hookups in a scenic setting with tons of fun activities onsite. We arrived in time to see the Festival of Lights which was amazing. Wifi worked pretty well but did occasionally go down. Verizon 4G was usable but not fast. There is a nearby library that was amazing for work with blazing wifi and private rooms. Lots of history and stuff to do but be aware the surrounding area is a bustling city that has long ago forgotten what southern hospitality is (and this goes for some of the locals that visit the park during daylight hours). We paid $75/ night which was honestly a bit steep. Sites did go unused in the evenings and there were lots of in and out stays while we were there.

Ocracoke Campground - My Rating is out of 5 -- Wow. Decided to head out to Ocracoke Island from Hatteras, fun trip on the ferry. We booked a paid ferry from here to Cedar Island. Spent the day on the island but what was special was the night. Under a full moon we walked the beach shore spotting crabs scurrying in the sand. Water and dump easy to get to and the hum of the breaking waves made it nice. $14/ for our stay with the access pass. Verizon 4G worked great. The virtual tour made this booking awesome too.

OBX Campground - My Rating is out of 5 -- Wow this is a great park. We arrived during their low season so benefitted from $50/ night rates. Immediate access to the water this park is comparable to some of the best in the country. Very impressive. Verizon 4g available but not super fast. No wifi in the park.

Oak Ridge Campground - My Rating is out of 5 -- Last minute overnight stay in a lovely spotted tucked into the late fall leaves. Had the place pretty much to ourselves and it was perfect. The Campground virtual tour is what got us here and was very valuable for finding the right site for us. We paid $13 for the night with our access pass.

Lake Vermillion Recreation Area - My Rating is out of 5 -- Had the place nearly to ourselves. Great spot, very quiet. Lake was nice. Playgrounds perfect. Electric worked and fresh water is available along with a dump station. Only complaint is the extra fees for out of state plus day use. Took a $28 site to $40ish. Website is terrible to book with. Still a nice spot and it was wind protected against the 40 mph winds that day.

Pine Lake State Park - My Rating is out of 5 -- A beautiful campground that we discovered through this website. In late October we were the only ones camping here and got a waterfront site with electric hookups and amazing views . Easy to access We paid only $12 for the campsite.

Pleasant Creek State Recreation Area - My Rating is out of 5 -- https://www.iowadnr.gov/Places-to-Go/State-Parks/Iowa-State-Parks/Pleasant-Creek-State-Recreation-Area

McFarlane Park Campground - My Rating is out of 5 -- https://www.mycountyparks.com/County/Black-Hawk/Park/McFarlane-Park.aspx

Lake Park Campground & Cottages - My Rating is out of 5 -- The following is all tempered by the only downside... price. $72 for a single night in late October! Ouch. Thanks to the price they did have plenty of sites available. Utilities worked great and wifi was fast. Located in an urbanized area but tucked back next to a lake. Small back in sites fot us and they do have large pull thru. Convenient and open into late fall... but that price.

Bear Valley RV Park and Campground - My Rating is out of 5 -- We loved this nice quiet park. Stayed here while visiting Zion (80 miles away) and Bryce Canyon (30 miles away). Ended up discovering how amazing some of the more hidden areas are including Panguitch Lake, Cedar Breaks National Monument and Fishlake National Forest. We stayed for a week in a pull thru site (they are all pull thrus). New utilities, great water pressure, fast wifi, fuel station onsite plus a small playground. The bonus was the miles of dirt trails out the back that head up into the forest. We enjoyed hikes and mountain bike rides along them spotting foxes, rabbits, rattlesnakes and cows.

Grand Canyon Camper Village - My Rating is out of 5 -- This was our first long stay after the COVID lockdowns and we loved it. The park stayed mostly empty. It is run down, more so than last time we stayed, but the utilities worked. Loved the close access to Grand Canyon and the perfect weather while we stayed. Paid $60 per night for location only.

The Palms River Resort - My Rating is out of 5 -- We stumbled across this RV park after looking at the Other parks in the area. We paid $50 per night plus $5 for night in tax. The resort is very nice has a beautiful pool area and the Colorado river is amazing. We stayed for 2 nights on our way to the Grand Canyon and it was perfect. If you have a boat or jet skis this place would be amazing. The small beach area allows you to take a quick dip in the river without worrying about the current. The park is mainly filled with park models that sell for about $100000. The majority of the folks that live here use this as a second or a vacation home and most of them live in Southern California. We would gladly stay here again.Verizon signal is very good while AT&T is kind of weak. We have a large RV and the only downside of this park is that the entryway is very narrow and requires a wide swaying in order to make it in without rubbing your tires. We were assigned to cite 5 which we were told was a pull thru but was not Due to electric boxes it was a backin. The office lady was kinda of rude when I called to ask about it. We figured it out.

Raton KOA Journey - My Rating is out of 5 -- This was a suitable overnight spot for a travels from Denver to Arizona. Way overpriced for what you got but there was nobody here and they had a site large enough for us to stay hooked up. 50 amp full hookup sites. The camp host for really nice and they had propane to fill our tanks. I will say that the park is nicer than some of the other review sites lead one to believe. Verizon 4G LTE available but a little slow.

Sycamore RV Resort - My Rating is out of 5 -- Paid $42/ night. Verizon coverage is fast and solid. They also have wifi but it is Tango managed and spikes fast and slow. Ownees are professional yet curt. Property and area are amazibg. The lakes are beautiful with great fishing. The town is quaint and vibrant. This is the place to stay near Chicago.. They were nice enough to squeeze Us in on a busy weekend into a cancellation site. The park is accessible for our big rig but does take some talent to maneuver the property is huge but it is mostly compiled of the Lakes. The RV parking area is on pieces of land located kind of in the center of the Lakes. The site itself was suitable with a hard packed gravel surface concrete patio and aged picnic table. We spent many mornings and afternoons walking the property and found it to be a stunning location. He also fished the lakes and have fun catching bluegill and bass. The town has all the supplies you will need and is very quaint and pretty. This park is located in a rural Farm area yeah it is reasonably close to Chicago. As the area is famous for most of the highways are toll Rhodes Saudi touring around them takes a lot of zigzagging and turns. We would gladly stay here again.

Camp Perry Lodging & Conference Center - My Rating is out of 5 -- Adding to my previous review I want to make note about the lovely public beach that is in walking distance of this RV Park as I mention it is a public beach has about 1/4 Mile of sand along Lake Erie and a very shallow water front we're depending upon wave action that make be calm or wavy during our stay the water was 75 degrees and had been tested by the Ohio agency responsible for monitoring water quality. From their online information they claim to test the water once-weekly so check the current status of the most recent water quality test before going in the light another note about this place not noted earlier is that you have a very unique view looking West towards than a nuclear reactor situated about 5 miles from your location. This reactor is slated to be turned off in 2020 and decommissioned but nonetheless the cooling tower is a massive Landmark on the horizon and during our stay was spewing out its cloud of steam.

Camp Perry Lodging & Conference Center - My Rating is out of 5 -- Very cool place to stay during our 4th of July visit to the area. A lot of the review sites out there have "grouchy old people" reviews so I will give you one from a 40 year old civilian... enter off Highway 5 at the railroad crossing, there is no stop light there but the entrance is between two brick post. That road, that you turn on to, follow it all the way down to the end. Make a right hand turn and drive a short distance to the building and parking lot on the left. You need to walk in and check in at the office to get keys to the locked utility boxes. After that you Circle back out, make a left at the stop sign, follow the fence line on your left and come to the RV area on the right. The RV area is really well maintained with paved roads and back in sites. The parking pads, all of them, are extremely long and wide enough for your tires to be on the pavement. Each site has a picnic table and fire ring there is nice grass all around. You are in walking distance to a public beach and Pier, the restroom facility, a laundry and, the most unique part of this experience, the old Army equipment for display including helicopters and tanks. There is also one of the 48 Merci Train cars donated by the people of France after World War II as a gesture of appreciation. Facilities are all well kept military style. It is an active National Guard post which means it is mostly deserted. 5 weeks out of every year there is the national shooting competition for military and civilian shooters. We paid $45 a night and would absolutely stay again. Verizon coverage was excellent and fast

AA Royal Motel & Campground - My Rating is out of 5 -- I will start this review by saying that we paid $60 per night leading into the Fourth of July holiday. The RV parks in this area are few to come by and very expensive. The KOA was charging $105 per night and the other RV resort near the KOA it's charging $100 per night so $60 is a deal. This park is surprisingly nice and maneuverable even with our big 5th wheel. We had to take a 30 amp site in order to fit. This is not a place to come and hang out all day as the units are relatively close to one another. Our back in site did have a nice grassy area out in the back and it was a beautiful late afternoon early evening when we arrived... very pretty. There is an excellent restaurant just west of here in an old roadside Hotel. It is owned buy an old-time football player and had very reasonable prices with good food. Our stay had us here for two nights to be able to go spend one day at Niagara Falls. The only negative is that the entrance is a bit tight and traffic out on the roadway in front moves at an aggressive rate of speed not the fault of the park. Verizon coverage was excellent and given options in the area its location and the fact they had a site at the last minute I give this one a good review.

Kayuta Lake Campground - My Rating is out of 5 -- Going into this park we didn't know really what we were getting into. Apparently it is under relatively new ownership who are doing a great job of cleaning up and improving the overall Park. The lake is absolutely beautiful and renting their canoes to paddle around is a must. The site we were assigned at first seemed narrow but once into the site was one of the biggest sites we have ever had! Many of the other campers have seasonal sites and all of the folks we ran into were very nice. In the future we may take a partial hookup site or even a primitive site out in the back area. That area, the primitive area, is stunning for a camp spot. It is a mix of Prairie and trees with plenty of room in between sites and amazing lighting in the morning and afternoon off the trees. They have an archery range and Laser Tag both of which were a lot of fun. The camp store is well stocked. I have nothing but positive things to say about this destination. It is very quiet at night and it appears that the other campers are very low key. If you're looking for a place to stay in this area this is a good option Verizon coverage is the only downside. Cell coverage is spotty and weak. Wi-Fi is available in the store

The Williamsburg Campground - My Rating is out of 5 -- If only every KOA could be this nice. By far one of the nicest family friendly RV parks in the country. Is kiwi is located in a rural setting only a few minutes from town. We stayed in a basic but nice full hookup pull through RV site for one week. There is a steady stream of campers in and out of this location as folks go about their vacations. It is very convenient to go visit Yorktown Jamestown and Williamsburg. There is also a very nice outlet mall not that far away. The free Wi-Fi was very good and in the upper sections you do get solid Verizon coverage. Some areas of the park notably areas in the tents and down in the lower reaches have spotty cell service. There is a brand new disc golf course which is very nice. The pool is absolutely perfect and the camp store is lovely. The park does charge higher rates police sound that those higher rates did a good job of keeping guess looking for a nice stay rather than a party place. We would gladly stay again.

Duck Neck Campground - My Rating is out of 5 -- We stayed here for a week and truly enjoyed our stay. The park is located way out in the countryside past some organic farms. The on-site managers are very friendly and so are the seasonal. During the week the place is very quiet and on Friday that is when it picks up. On the weekends there are lots of guests and scheduled activities. We enjoyed the direct access to the river for fishing and walking around the grounds of the property. The the guests with the seasonal sites appear to have nice boats and golf carts their sites are located in the trees while the overnight guests are located in an area with more Sun and some shade. The camp store is very nice and has lots of supplies an ice cream parlor and Deli. Pool is good size but not heated. Being in very rural Maryland has a unique feel. Although you are only 80 miles from Washington DC there aretolls required to get there. In fact there are tolls from pretty much any direction to get here just keep that in mind. The only non-toll route is to enter from the north. Verizon coverage is available but spotty. Wi-Fi service at the camp store is amazingly fast.

Raleigh Oaks RV Resort - My Rating is out of 5 -- This is our second time staying at this Resort and they have markedly improved the overall ambience and Design. All of the park roads and camping sites are packed gravel with mowed grass separation. There are two pools a playground basketball court propane fill restrooms Clubhouse gym and even cabins in the back. This is one of the top resorts in the country. If I could knock them for anything it is that their maintenance crew seems a little lacks on the maintenance of certain facilities they are all nice but there's just that little touch that's not complete. The price though is very reasonable at $42 per night with a AAA discount. We stayed here in order to fly into and out of Raleigh-Durham International Airport. It was a one-hour drive to and from the airport. We would stay here again as it is easy to get into and out of with our large RV.

Camp Clearwater Family Campground - My Rating is out of 5 -- Very hard park to rate. We were here for 2 nights as an alternative to staying along I95. Beautiful lake and pretty shared facilities... but... the park is primarily a seasonal destination for locals. They use it as a second and for some only home. Being their "home" we were guests in their area and would not expect to complain or in some way change the norms. So instead I will explain what we saw... if it is what you want then perfect otherwise somewhere else may be better. Golf carts... everywhere. Adult drivers, teen drivers, kid drivers. Lifted, fancy, loud, racing around... everywhere. Kids playing... everywhere. Definitely clicks of teens and younger causing mischief Sites... suitable but not level and a little tight to maneuver. Area... amazing, beautiful fun Price... $40/ night. Not bad at all. Would we stay again? Not sure.

Creekwood Farm RV Park - My Rating is out of 5 -- As crazy as it sounds the first reason why we ended up staying here was had nothing to do with the park itself. Instead the reason we stayed here is because they did one simple thing. They answered the phone. It is shocking in this area which is so popular of Travelers how many people that run these Parks do not answer their phone or return voicemails I called eight different parks the Regent before calling here. And I'm sure glad all those other ones to not answer their phone. This Park is absolutely beautiful and one of the nicest Parts we've ever say that Yarborough Ambiance is quite peaceful even when it's crowded. We stayed Saturday and Sunday of Easter weekend and thoroughly enjoyed our stay they have a bunch of different site Types on their website and it can be confusing as to what you are getting. To be honest the extra $50 a night for the premium sites is not really worth it. All of their sites are really nice including their low-cost back in interior sites which is what we had. We arrived late on Friday and were able to catch a game of bingo which was nice and then the next morning we were up early and off to Smoky Mountains and Bryson City. We paid $47 per night andesite was large enough to handle our big 5th wheel. If you are looking to stay in the Asheville area or near Cherokee North Carolina this is a very good option in the region you will gladly return here again.

Montgomery Bell State Park Campground - My Rating is out of 5 -- This is the second Tennessee State Park we have ever stayed at and like the first this one is amazing. Another Park originally built by the Civilian Conservation Corps there are miles of hiking and biking trails in the area. One of the Resort style parks there is a hotel and restaurant nearby the camping area is located on the North side just near the visitor center it is not mapped on Google Maps so just know that that is where it's at when coming here. The park has a mix of tent electric only and full hookup RV and tent sites all situated in a small Valley filled with tall trees. During our stay in April it was stunningly beautiful with singing birds and the green buds popping on the trees. Verizon coverage for both cell and data was surprisingly good the park also does provide Wi-Fi service via tengo internet. We paid $32 per night for a full hook-up site. If you book in advance online you can just go straight to your campsite there is no check-in process if like us you were traveling in a large RV and this is your first time here I would recommend stopping at the kiosk at you enter the campground parking and taking a walk to find your site. I asked two staff members where the site was and both of them would have lead me down roads that I could not have fit upon. No big deal because I walked the route and figure it out myself how to get into the site just be aware they hire a lot of temporary and college-age staff could you not understand the needs of campers. There is a playground ball court and volleyball court right next to the campground The Visitor Center is a short walk away and there are three small lakes within the Park. During this time of year there's also fish in the creek and you're able to fish the Lakes. If you're in this vicinity this is an ideal place to camp. We would absolutely stay again.

EZ DAZE RV Park - My Rating is out of 5 -- Do not let the cheesy name fool you this is a really nice RV Park. They were able to get us a site at the last minute due to a cancellation. We stayed here as some thunderstorms rolled through the area and found that the sites were easy to get into, the local area had plenty to do and we enjoyed an overall nice experience. I have read on other rv park review sites that there is a lot of air traffic and airplanes flying overhead but, likely due to the weather, there was little to no air traffic impact. The park is all paved roads with concrete pull through and back in sites. The sites are properly angled to the road allowing for easy entrance and exit. There is decent spacing between sites. We were here in early spring so the pool was not open we did not use the restroom facilities either. Check-in was made over the phone with a packet left on the window for our late arrival. There's plenty of grocery shopping in the area and a diesel fuel station down near where you turn in; the only issue with that fuel station is that is not big enough for large RVs but it does work if you have a pickup truck and are able to unhook. Although it's near Memphis Tennessee the park is actually in Mississippi. They are silly with their payment policy they advertise and promote a Good Sam discount but if you do not have Good Sam you have to pay $5 more per night for no obvious reason other than you are unwilling to give Marcus Lemonis 25 bucks a year. They should really reconsider that policy. You can go for a good walk through the neighborhoods around the park. They are quiet nice neighborhoods and if you want to check out the Jellystone you're within a one mile walk of that location. We would gladly stay here again although likely for a longer period of time to make it more affordable $50 a night is a little steep.

Texarkana RV Park & Event Center - My Rating is out of 5 -- We stayed here for two nights day heading from Dallas up to Nashville this in our opinion is the nicest park in town and it's run by a very friendly and hospitable family. Four sites are plenty big for any size unit and are located on packed gravel the four cops are conveniently placed in the right location Verizon 4G worth great here the only knock I can really give them it's not their fault but the adjacent Road has lots of truck in traffic on it so there is a constant noise from vehicles they do a really good job keeping this place up and the park shows a real sense of pride of ownership we would gladly return again. We paid $35 a night with a AAA discount.

Texarkana KOA - My Rating is out of 5 -- Flat out this place gives KOA's a bad name. The park is literally immediately adjacent to the interstate and the on ramp to the interstate. Fact in order to access the park you need to head down the frontage road / on-ramp and then turn right just when you feel like you've gone too far. The park looks like a converted mobile home community and still has a mobile home community in the back. There is a small pool and small office. The grounds are nice but have an overall aged appearance. The advantage of this KOA is its proximity to restaurants shopping and the interstate. Do note that there are no sidewalks so you will need to drive everywhere and based upon its location you could only pull out and go right down the Frontage Road to find a spot to loop back around to the dining and restaurants. The park is also not big rig friendly for an overnight stay. Because of the access location and overall size of Park it is best suited to units under 35 feet for overnight stays. If you are staying longer then it is worth the effort. There are better options in this area.

Sanger / Denton North KOA - My Rating is 4 out of 5 -- I am revising my previous review up one star after staying a few days at this park. There is a mix of short-term and long-term guests here but overall the environment is very quiet and peaceful. There is a hum from the highway but not overwhelming. The location is reasonably close to the Dallas and Fort Worth area with a straight shot down Interstate 35 to reach either one. The office staff is polite. They are not open on Sundays and that explains our poor check-in experience. There is a pool open seasonally and a catch-and-release pond located in the back. My son caught a fish with in 5 minutes making for a fun day. The park does get muddy in rain otherwise it is a nice spot.

Indian Village Campground - My Rating is 3 out of 5 -- A basic park with packed dirt and gravel roads and pads. Long term guests with varying condition of unit. A few sites available. Checked it out while staying in the area

Sanger / Denton North KOA - My Rating is 3 out of 5 -- This review is based upon my first impressions of this park. I'm writing this immediately after taking a site and setting up. We made reservations yesterday via the KOA website and had a confirmation. We arrived at 8 p.m. on a Sunday night and found the main office closed there was no information on the front window except for a sign that said the park was full sorry. Self registration box was empty. Figured we'd ignore it and found a site anyways. Will see what they say tomorrow paid $35/night online. Concrete roads and sites in front area are narrow and long. Packed gravel and gravel sites looked muddy Nd wet. Mosquitoes were aggressive and big.

Tucumcari KOA - My Rating is 3 out of 5 -- We met family here so stayed as of that... otherwise this is a park that is way overpriced for what it is. $47/ night for a horrible patch of dusty dirt. Surrounding views were amazing and easy on and off from the interstate. They are building concrete super sites in the back and when done those will be great. Nice folks in the office. Internet needs help. Can't recommend at the price they are charging.

Holbrook / Petrified Forest KOA - My Rating is 4 out of 5 -- This review is for this KOA if you are staying for longer than one day or will be arriving early in the morning. We did not stay at this park instead I took a walk in the morning over to check it out. I was able to confirm better decision to overnight at the less-expensive park made sense. That being said this KOA is the better choice if you're staying longer than overnight. As I walk through and some of the photos show it they are actively upgrading various facilities and sites within the park. Most dramatic are the KOA super sites as those are very nice. The park has a petrified log in the front area which is great for the kids. They have a pool a playground and group tent sites and individual tent sites along with cabins and pull through RV sites. All of the sites in the entire grounds or packed gravel dirt this is the desert. Easy access for any size RV.

OK RV Park - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- My rating is based upon this location being a one-night overnight stop off Interstate 40. I give it five stars for this purpose. For a destination to stay longer this is not five stars it would be more like a three star Park. They have large signs that direct you to the location easily seen at night there's a convenient truck accessible fuel station between the park and the interstate. Their office was lit and how to clear directions on where to go to get a site. The sites are as the other reviewer explained very long sites. This park is a former and partially still is Mobile Home Park. The campsites are set up for mobile homes used to be so they are very large. The price is reasonable to and based upon the amount of utilities you desire 50 amp is more than 30 amp. Did not use any of the other facilities but compared to the KOA nearby the place was $20 for nine less expensive. If you're not picky and you looking for a nice place to sleep overnight this is it.

Newberry Mountain RV & Motel Park - My Rating is 4 out of 5 -- Pulled in at midnight and easily found a pull thru I coud stay in. The aite is short so I had to angle the truck while hooked up. Suitable for an overnight

Cal Expo RV Park - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- A very convenient spot for an overnight or short-term stay when traveling through Sacramento the rate is currently $45 per night we paid an extra $5 for second car in an extra $10 for a late check-out. The biggest advantage of the spark is the location and the immediate access to the American River Bikeway Spike way is used by joggers Walkers cyclist in any other type of human propelled exercise allowing you to travel all the way up to Folsom Lake or down to Sacramento When we arrive late Sunday we pulled the bikes out and went for a good one hour John octopath I'm back home it was beautiful. Park has two sections first section the one you see when you pull in is a pave lot with RV sites sites in roads in this area are all paid and the sites Rd are delineated by painted lines the biggest issue with this lot is that it has a large slope to it so all of the sight or unlevel the second area is it packed gravel lot that is used for larger RVs in our case that's Lightfoot perfectly level. Office staff was helpful and knife there is only one restroom shower facility in Matt is in the main office there's a small fenced dog run over in the paved area. This area of Sacramento has a large homeless population so the park is very active on security with bright lights at night and on-site security overnight

Sand Hollow State Park Campground - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- WOW WOW WOW this is an absolutely amazing place to camp. We stayed after labor day for 2 weeks and loved our experience. It was hot during the day but thunderstorms would roll through and create these amazing vistas of the mountains. The RV sites had plenty of room and we absolutely loved our stay. Make sure to check out the dinosaur tracks located in nearby BLM land (a dirt road to get there) and also check out the museum the park staffs at their main entrance. Verizon 4G was solid. We will absolutely be back!

Cedar City KOA - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- Paid about $55 for the overnight but the park was worth the price. The pool was the perfect place to burn off energy after a long drive down from Idaho. We fit our large rig easily into the super pull thru sites and have no complaints. Some amazing mountain biking/ hiking is located nearby. Look up "Thunderbird Gardens Trails" to find more information. This park is not close enough to downtown to easily walk into town (it would be about 15-20 minutes) but there is sidewalk the entire way. We would stay here again because of the pool and family friendly activities.

Stanislaus County Fairgrounds RV Park - My Rating is 4 out of 5 -- Simply a big grassy lot shaped like a triangle with hookups along the perimeter. Big enough for any sized RV the hookups are 30 amp, water is next to pedestal and sewer close by. Easy to get in and out of. Arrived on a Saturday at 3pm no attendant available so we will need to figure that part out. 5 bars verizon because the tower is close enough to throw your cell phone at (radiation is good for you... you know). $25 per night with maximum 14 day stay. Only con is I would not stay in the rain as the soil feels like it would get soggy under the grass. Nice option for an overnight stay when traveling the California Central Valley. UPDATE: For weekend stays you need CASH. They do not take checks or credit cards. Exact cash only.

Kit Fox RV Park - My Rating is 3 out of 5 -- Filled with long term guests the park is still nice but full of people living there not staying there.

Lakeside RV Campground - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- A truly beautiful RV park. They keep the place in top shape even with a large group of long term guests. The sites are pull thru style on packed gravel with a nice grass area and picnic table. Their definition of "heated pool" is not what my definition of heated pool would be unless heated means via sun radiation. Office staff is cordial but not friendly. Provo Airport is just across the way and there are major expansions going on there with two large hangars being constructed. Reading local news there has been massive expansion with plans in the future to turn it into a regional hub with many commercial flights. In years past it was mostly small planes landing and taking off but during our stay there was a noticeable increase in big jet traffic with the accompanying noise; it will be too bad if the airport starts to over-power the campground. Just a few years ago this place used to be a little ways away from civilization but the Salt Lake City and Provo areas are booming, expanding and now encroaching on these more rural areas. The Provo River bikeway is accessible just west of the park and allows for an excellent traffic free bike ride up towards Provo Canyon (fit cyclists can ride all the way up and into the canyon). We paid $40 per night for a weekly rate leaving on Sunday of labor day weekend. The park has a large flow of overnight guests in later in the day and out in the morning. During mid-day and mid-week, in fact most of the time, the park is very quiet and peaceful. We will stay again Verizon 4G cell phone and data coverage is good but a repeater is recommended for better data speeds. We did not use their wifi.

Berry Creek Rancheria RV Park at Gold Country Casino - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- Woah baby this is a super nice RV park. We stayed in one of their premier sites and all I have to say is WOW. The casinos in California are killing it with these new resorts absolutely beautiful. I am not a big gambler but the wife and I ended up playing some games and had a ton of fun... wish I could say we won but it is about the fun right? The pool was fantastic and a real highlight during the hot days. The fuel station out front had some of the best prices on gas we have ever found anywhere. We will definitely be back.

Juniper Park Campground - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- $25 per night 14 day max stay with full hookups. Absolutely amazing campground. We stayed for 1 week in both a pull thru and then backin site. Picnic table and fire ring at site. Peaceful, quiet, and lovely. Well worth a stay. Verizon 4g was solid. Great bike ride heading north on th e the road out front. Any size rv will fit. Will stay again.

Salt Creek Sports Lounge RV Park - My Rating is 3 out of 5 -- For the price and our needs this one worked out just fine. Needed a safe place to stay and leave our unit while we flew out of town for a week. The park is about 1 hour from SLC. Mostly long term tenants they are struggling financially but have a nice little community of friendly people looking out for one another. The owner is onsite as is a bar. Very low key this is not a destination but is okay if you need a place to stay. Verizon 4G is good.

Ruby’s Inn Campground and RV Park - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- Excellent campground and RV Park. Just outside the National Park you can hop right on a paved multi-use trail to get in and out of the park. We stayed in the new area out back with the huge pull thru RV sites. Nice and level we fit both our vehicles plus the RV easily within the site. Pools on the property are great and the staff was nice. We liked the idea that the place had everything we needed including a mechanic to fix our truck. Very satisfied with this place we would stay again. Verizon 4G was solid.

Grand Canyon Camper Village - My Rating is 3 out of 5 -- It was an okay place to stay. Very dusty the park shows signs of deferred maintenance. Rumors of the location being turned into a hotel explains this. A suitable spot to stay if you are travelling into and out of the park. There is a paved bike path that starts kitty-corner to the park and meanders into the National Park. Verizon 4G was solid.

Indian Creek RV Campground - My Rating is 4 out of 5 -- Solid overnight stop just off the Interstate between Yellowstone and Grand Teton. Huge pull thru site was level enough and had a nice grass area out front. A big grass area out front was good for burning off some energy with the kids. If you need fuel make sure to checkin first as they give you a coupon for 2 cents off a gallon at the adjacent fuel station. Fairly priced place to stay. Only comment is that the adjacent fuel area is also a truck stop; lots of rigs/ drivers sleep there overnight with a hum of diesel engines and generators all night. No problem if you sleep like us with a fan on. Verizon 4G works fine.

Eagle Peak Lodge and RV Park - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- This park was a delight to stay at. $30 per night during the week and $35 on the weekends we had a great backin at the back of the park overlooking a pasture that occasionally had cows eating their way around. Low key and easy to work with you pay at the lodge across the street. This is for self contained units only and seemed to draw in a quiet group of fulltimers. Ashton is a nice little town and close to Rexburg for shopping (although the small grocery in Ashton is well stocked and reasonably priced). We visited both Grand Teton National Park and Yellowstone National Park including Cave Falls and Mesa Falls. It is a bit of a drive to West Yellowstone but if you do the math it is still way more affordable to stay here. Verizon 4G was solid.

Fort Running Bear RV Park - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- This place is paradise and we stumbled in to it. Coming into Boise in July it turns out all the parks were full. Used CampgroundViews to find this place and so glad we did. First off the road is 3 miles long off the highway and it is dusty... go slow. The park is beautiful large trees, grass and amazing views. Very quiet at night and a very nice swimming pool. Great fishing nearby and forest all around. As an amazing bonus Verizon 4G was solid and fast! We would absolutely stay again.

Southern Oregon RV Park - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- Great park to stay during the 4th of July. We watched the fireworks launched from the fairgrounds and hung out with family. Sites are very nice. Only issue is the fireplace setup it has a steel/ iron backing that gets insanely hot = very dangerous. Otherwise the park is nice with a great dirt lot out front for driving RV cars. There is a paved bike path out front that you can ride south towards Medford... but don't. The bike path is over-run by drug addicts and homeless. this park is fine just a heads up on the bike path. Verizon 4G is solid.

Giant Redwoods RV and Cabin Destination - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- What a great camping location. We loved the access to the Redwoods and the swimming holes on the Eel River. We spent a few days in the partial hookup sites and a few days in a full hookup site; the partial hookups was better - more room and less traffic in and out. being said anywhere you go is good at this park. Verizon 4G was solid.

Riverside RV Park and Campground - My Rating is 4 out of 5 -- Zero complaints. The park is not fancy but it is inexpensive. We paid $27 per night for a full hookup site 17 miles from downtown Ketchum, 300 yds from the banks of the Wood River, and immediatly on a low key backroad perfect for bike rides. The onsite manager is a kind soul who does a good job. The park is small, about 33 sites, and probably 60% long term guests. They are folks working in the area so good vibes there. Verizon 4G is solid and the park can accommodate big rigs.

The Virginian Lodge RV Park - My Rating is 4 out of 5 -- Paid just under $100 per night with our AAA discount. Stayed one night because of the high rate. Neat town to visit and a definite bucket list but wow this was expensive. Our large rig fit and Verizon 4G is available.

Burns RV Park - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- $47 per night for the large pull thru site. Very easy to get in and out of. They fly Good Sam banners everywhere and of course only give discounts to good sam members or military (the later the much more deserving). Beautiful park in a nice rural town. Right on US 20/ 395 the site was perfectly level had a grass area and picnic tables. Family run they had a site available when I called in the morning. The park has backins pull thrus tent sites 2 cabins and 3 teepees. Do not hesitate to stay here. Great park. Verizon 4G was solid. Also if you have kids ride your bikes to the public park at Washington St. Very nice

San Francisco North Petaluma KOA - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- We really enjoyed our stay at this park. It is in a more rural setting and we had fun riding our bikes on the backroads through the farm fields and grazing lands. Petaluma is a nice little town with lots of shopping. We took a day trip down to walk on the Golden Gate Bridge it was a 30 minute trip down and back when timed to miss traffic. Our son loved the rock climbing wall and bounce pillow. The pool was heated, and it was legitimately heated!, to a nice temperature. Overall a very well run park. verizon 4G was solid. If I were to give it any cons it would be the short road to the park the right turn up to the park and then getting in the gates; it is a bit tight in a big rig. We would gladly return to this park.

Bridgeport Reservoir RV Park & Marina - My Rating is 4 out of 5 -- Great place to camp on the reservoir. Busy during fishing season the park is quiet when fishing is out. Close to Twin Lakes and Bodie State Park. We fit our large RV in here with no problem. You can launch float tubes right from the park and go catch some big ones. Verizon 4G is available

Whistle Stop Campground - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- So glad this park finally got done. Very nice family friendly place to stay. Kids loved the place. It is not a cheap vacation but well worth it. The train ride was the highlight of the trip for our son who enjoyed riding that thing more than anything else.

Lighthouse Cove RV Park - My Rating is 3 out of 5 -- Pretty location with easy access for our large RV. Great views of the lighthouse and access to a small beach within the marina. A short walk or bike ride over to the city playground. Verizon 4G data and phone was solid. We might have returned again based upon the above but will not based upon the following. Someone tried to steal our bikes. We utilize a dual locking bike rack and had a cable lock through the bikes as a visual deterrent. Went out to ride the bikes and found the cable cut clean through. Had our rack been a "normal" rack the bikes would have been gone. Interestingly enough while inspecting the attempted theft a "neighbor" approached and told us that lots of bikes get stolen here all the time. A few other people in town said the same thing that "anything not bolted down is grabbed quickly by thieves". This theft issue most likely applies to all the campgrounds along the harbor area as they are all open and expose your RV to full sight-lines from passerby. Be aware when staying here not to leave anything of value out and unprotected. We reported the attempted theft to office staff. We will not return to this location.

Nevada County Fairgrounds RV Park - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- Lovely place to camp. Was empty when we stayed so we got a great full hookup site tucked under large shade trees. The property is nice to roam around and great trails 1 mile away at Empire Mine State Park. Price was reasonable and Verizon 4G worked great.

Benbow KOA - My Rating is 4 out of 5 -- Stopped in just for some propane. Overall a nice park BUT the entrance drive is a real maze in a big unit. Tight turns and weird parking for checkin. Otherwise nice park

Clearlake Resort - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- Whoa baby this one was a surprise. They assigned us the site right next to the water and it was marvelous. Cool breeze blowing in all day and amazing view looking at the rippling lake. The entire park was been re-done with concrete patios and packed gravel parking pads with new pavement for the drives being prepped when we visited. All new electric boxes too. $45 per night I was told they are probably going to be long term guests only. The manager lives onsite and they are nice. Clearlake as a community is nothing to write home about. This entire region is very strange; amazing lake + run down vacation homes = great investment opportunity? Verizon 4G was excellent for phone and data. There is a fishing pier and boat launch located within the park.

Redwood Empire Fair RV Park - My Rating is 3 out of 5 -- This place is okay. They clearly have long term guests in here but they all seem fine. The camphost that checked us in was not the nicest. Pull thru site was plenty long and with no one in the site next to us we had plenty of room out front. The site was level. paid $40 for the night. Verizon 4G was very good for phone and data. If you ride bicycles look up Low Gap Road. It is the first stop light to the south, make a right and enjoy an excellent out and back bike ride. Also we used the city pool for $5 per person and enjoyed a refreshing dip. Ukiah is a great example of what liberal ideas can do to destroy a community. the entire city is run down with roads that were probably last paved 30 years ago. Their #1 crop, pot, is now legal which has collapsed the resale price and hurt the economy in the area. None of that matters if you are simply looking for a nice place to park for a night or 2 while travelling US 101. We would stay again.

Monument Valley KOA Journey - My Rating is 4 out of 5 -- Location location location. This place could be a giant dirt lot and it would still be amazing, oh wait it is a giant dirt lot right now. if you have ever wanted to stay in a RV park before it is complete this is the place to be ;). Great owners who were appropriately apologetic of their under-development status but overall the location was great. We had previously stayed at Gouldings but that park is a bit tight for our large rig. This new KOA is located right off the highway in a big open area. Monument Valley is an amazingly beautiful area to stay for a day or two. We are not big fans of the rules regarding visiting the monument areas but still enjoy admiring from afar while passing through the area. The price was a bit steep at over $60 per night and if we were in a smaller RV we would have chosen Gouldings for this reason; less expensive by a sizable margin. The park is a KOA and is located in an amazing area so most will ignore this fact and stay here anyways. Expect to see a ton of Cruise America RVs here all the time. There is a gas station 1 mile south of the park and the highway is not very noisy with most of the traffic during the day and it is not that heavy. Be aware this region is far from medical staff so drive safe and be prepared.

M&M Mobile Villa RV Sites - My Rating is 3 out of 5 -- Price is the key driver for this park. We paid less than $900 for 3 months during the winter to stay here. It is mostly all long term tenants who live here and work here. There are about 20 or so shorter term and winter visitors like us. A family park there are lots of kids running around in the evening and on weekends. The kids are being kids playing and having fun; no malicious stuff going on they just don;t have a playground so the kids are out playing the streets and in sites. The pool is not open and never was while we stayed. The laundry is there, never used it. This area of Mesa is hit and miss. Go a few blocks one way and you have fancy neighbors go a few blocks the other and you are in the ghetto. Shopping is all within 1 mile including a Frys grocery and Walmart Neighborhood store. Plenty of gas stations around and two locations right outside the park selling propane. Just across the street the Uhaul facility recently re-opened providing a boost to the area in overall appearance. Office staff is professional. You do need to setup electric with SRP and pay them direct. Not sure the rate but we averaged $75 per month during our winter stay. The sites are massive. 60+' deep by 60 or so feet wide. We had packed desert rocks to park the rig and opened our door to a concrete patio. On the non-door side was another large concrete driveway for vehicle parking. If you are looking for an inexpensive and as safe as you can get in a metropolitan area park this one is suitable. If you are looking for a little class and refinement then look to some of the resorts in the area. Verizon 4G was fine and you could get cable internet if you want.

5th Street RV Park - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- I don't want to write this review because I don't want you to know about this park! Incredible location, incredible price and nice owners. We stayed for 3 weeks this last summer and absolutely loved every minute. The park is tiny and has mostly long term tenants. We were in the pull thru site and had our own huge yard with picnic table. Enjoyed being able to ride the Mickelson right from camp, walk down to the grocery, hike up to the Custer sign and walk down to the playgrounds. We paid just under $400 plus electric for the monthly rate; well worth it. Verizon 4G was solid.

Antelope Valley RV Park - My Rating is 4 out of 5 -- As described above Delta is a nice little Mormon town. The park was suitable for an overnight stay with pull thrus that were plenty long. The tow was leaning downhill but the trailer was perfectly level. A surprising number of other stayed overnight too and all were in late and out early. We paid $30 or so dollars for the night. Office lady was cheery and nice. There is diesel available in town and across the highway. Traffic on US 50 is very light. Probably a pretty area in spring and fall (it was pretty even in late fall). Verizon 4G was solid.

Pony Express RV Park - My Rating is 4 out of 5 -- This is a 3 star park but I added another because the woman that answered the phone was so nice. Overall the small place is suitable for a short stay and was useful for our overnight while travelling the "loneliest road in America". The sites are not level at all sloping front to back and side to side. Utilities worked fine and Verizon 4G was available. We had the place to ourselves the weekend before Thanksgiving. Austin seems to be struggling and the town seemed very quiet. We love US 50 across Nevada and appreciate having a place with full hookups to stop. Rate was less than $20 for the night paid with cash in a drop box.

Tri-County Fairgrounds Bishop RV Park - My Rating is 4 out of 5 -- $35 per night solid 4G and a short walk to town. Bishop is a nice town and we stayed here the night of their Christmas parade and tree lighting... lots of fun. The RV park was very empty and we took the large backins between the restrooms and fair buildings allowing us to stay fully hooked up over night. Site was perfectly level. Paid via envelope deposit in the drop box at the office as the office is closed on weekends. Packed gravel and very basic the utilities worked and all was good.

Ventura Beach RV Resort - My Rating is 3 out of 5 -- We stayed here again due to full parks further inland. The same situation stands now as always. The office staff is not that great, although a bit better this time they really do need customer service skills improved. A huge advantage this time was the deal they had running allowing us to pay for 2 nights and get the 3rd free. This lowered the nightly rate to $60 per night on average for a pull thru site (yeah that is $90 per night normal rate). The park does have visible 24 hour security and in speaking with one of them I learned that even then they can't quite cover the whole park. Apparently over the last 6 weeks a number of high end bicycles have been stolen from inside the park! We had site 45 which was a concrete pull thru right next to the security booth (yes I purposefully choose that site). The site was a bit snug to pull in to and I needed to park dead center to be able to pop out the slides. In getting to the site I was handed a map and that was it; no escort or further instruction provided. The interior roads are tight and turns too but I was able to make it in to the site (it was dark when we arrived). It is a short walk over to the beach. Lots of homeless in the area and we did not feel comfortable there. Ventura is in real trouble with this.

Santa Barbara Sunrise RV Park - My Rating is 4 out of 5 -- I was very impressed with this park. Their online availability calendar made it very easy for us to see if they had a site available, they did. The site easily handled our large RV and had plenty of room for slides. The large RV sites have the most space between RVs with the smaller sites seemingly a bit more crowded on elbow room. We had site 4 which had visibility of the 101 and faced the sound-wall. While there was a constant noise and "vrooms" from louder vehicles overall it was not as bad as it could have been being this close to the highway. We paid $70 per night. Verizon 4G was solid and fast. The office staff were very pleasant and legitimately helpful when getting in to the site. While we generally don't like paying this much for an RV site, and this park anywhere else is not worth the price, we were satisfied with our stay.

Monument RV Resort - My Rating is 4 out of 5 -- Nice park but the overnight rate is a little high. They do have propane fill here and the park looks just like the video. Posted some current pictures for you.

James M. Robb – Colorado River State Park Fruita Section Campground - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- What an enjoyable place to stop. We stayed for two nights on our way to Nevada. The park is located right off the interstate and surrounded by restrooms, the dinosaur museum, and gas stations. It was off season and there were maybe 3 to 4 other RVs in the entire park. Sites are big but a bit tight to get in and out of. Restrooms were closed during this winter season. Enjoyed walking along the path next to the Colorado River.

Cherry Creek State Park Campground - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- We lucked out at this park. Luckily I made reservations in advance instead of paying attention to what they promised would be available first come first served sites... apparently the powers that be at the public agency decided at the last minute to close all the first come first serve sites! As for us we had a huge pull thru facing the office area and enjoyed our 2 weeks stay at the park. Great bike trails throughout, fun hikes along the lake, and all surrounded by urban Aurora/ Denver. We fit our huge rig and two vehicles well within the site space. Everything worked great. This first loop is the "quietest" of the camping areas. The others are further uphill (not a big hill) yet closer to the main roadway out front. The roadway is heavily trafficked so lots of road noise is possible depending upon wind. There is, apparently, a coyote problem at this park. They are known to steal small animals from people in the park. We ran in to one of the coyotes in the field behind the southern loop while out on a walk. While it was leery of us it was not afraid of us. Be careful and mindful of your small pets and small children. In addition to the coyote we saw signs of foxes, had deer in our front area and watched tons of bird life. Overall a great place to stay in the area.

Farm Island Recreation Area Campground - My Rating is 4 out of 5 -- Very pretty campground with excellent spacing between sites. A boat launch is there as is a archery area. Only downside is the silly rates and rules of the State Park. Great vacation spot. Verizon 4G is good.

Griffin Park Campground - My Rating is 4 out of 5 -- A nice place to stop for the night. Easy to backin the site was plenty long to stay hooked up and plenty level too. Had an enjoyable ride along the multi-use trail along the waters edge. Took a dip in the water to cool off and took a stroll on the city center trail to visit the capital building. Inexpensive there was a mix of over night guests, folks visiting the area, and some others who may have no where else to go. The tent sites were very nice set right on the grass edge above the rocky beach and water. Verizon 4G was solid we paid $16 fir the evening.

Crystal Park Campground - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- Free... yep free 50 amp electric in a huge pull thru on mowed grass. Great playground equipment and fun disc golf course on site. perfect for an overnight stay on the road between Minnesota and the Black Hills. Two other units there for the night. They take donations. Verizon 4G was solid and there was a water spigot that I was able to fill the tank from (took a bit of hose to reach though).

Fisher Grove State Park Campground - My Rating is 1 out of 5 -- Boo boo boo on you South Dakota State Parks. We arrived for an overnight stay but were forced to call in to their reservation phone number to get the site. They wanted a $2 reservation fee just for that. No thanks. So then I tried reserving via their website... $8 out of state fee. So in the end they wanted over $30 for an electric only backin RV site. No thanks. If you are a SD resident then this place is fine otherwise I recommend moving on down the road. Verizon 4G was decent. RV sites are large. Pretty area.

Ambush Park Campground - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- What would you say to $19 per night full hookups in a nice community park in a quiet area with zero other campers for a week? The same thing we did... awesome. The park is close to family and we enjoyed our stay. Great rural farm community park there are nice walking paths mowed in the grass, a pretty river next door, free mini-golf onsite, a golf course next door and a Dairy Queen within walking distance. As an added bonus the municipal swimming pool is within walking distance also. We stayed in the non-reservable site #8 which was a paved backin plenty long for our big rig. Verizon 4G was solid. Water was very rusty and clogged both our filters.

Dakotah Meadows RV Park - My Rating is 4 out of 5 -- Just okay on this one. The park is large and they had plenty of pull thru sites but for some reason only said they had a backin (which was more expensive). The site was fine and worked for our overnight stay; long enough to fit trailer and truck. Nice little playground and easy in and out. Not much activity in the campground it appears to be an older audience resigned to hanging out inside their big RVs (not that there is anything wrong with that). Not many choices in this area the park is suitable. Verizon 4G worked fine.

Holtwood Campground - My Rating is 4 out of 5 -- $30 for the night with partial hookups in a grass covered pull thru. the campground was nice and easy to access. A lot of seasonal trailers but nothing scary or unsightly. The river is beautiful and people float by all day long on kayaks and tubes. The disc golf course was very challenging with obstacles combining with mosquitoes to keep you on your toes. Lots of history in this area but the town itself seems to be a bit run down. Fine for a short term stay we would stay again. Verizon 4G was solid.

Manistique Lakeshore Campground - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- AMAZING. This is a community using their natural setting and smart planning to build something right. The RV park is absolutely perfect in every way. The only negative you could possible throw out there is the fact that the sewage treatment plant is across the street and occasionally you got a whiff of it. Even with that this place is amazing. Our site easily handled our large RV and vehicles. It was also perfectly level allowing us to stay hooked up. The site is bordered by natural trees and feels very private. The tent sites are amazing too. Verizon 4G was solid and fast. We did not use the laundry or restrooms but did look and they are all clean and new. The playground equipment is nice and new BUT I will point out that the playground is hazardous. The design utilizes a lot of rope course style play features. We witnessed two kids, thankfully not ours, take really nasty tumbles as a result. Use caution and common sense when letting your kids play. The main feature of the park is the immediate access to the Michigan lake shore. You can walk out to the water, hop up on a break water and take a nice stroll our to the mouth of the river. It is absolutely serene at sunset with the pretty red lighthouse forming an amazing backdrop. We saw some people fishing and they said the fish were good size. As for swimming in the lake off the beach... we passed. The aforementioned sewage treatment plant plus the dark dirty color of the water meant we were not super excited to jump in. Not saying it is bad just communicating our thoughts. What we did do is take the bikes over and ride their boardwalk. It is 2.5 miles and very pretty. they have signs saying "no bikes" but others were ignoring those signs too. We paid $40 per night and would gladly stay again. Book this one now for next season as it will fill up fast.

Lakeshore Park Campground - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- Another great Michigan RV Park. We had one of their water facing pull ins but with our fifth wheel it was a backin requiring us to run the hookups under the rig. No big deal. the park is mostly filled with an older audience so it is quiet and peaceful. The view out on the Straits is very pretty and a short walk down to their beach is a real treat. The road out front is deserted so overall a quiet place to stay. Due to location and the amount of grass on site mosquitoes are pretty bad here. We paid about $40 per night and would gladly stay again.

Tiki Travel RV Park & Campground - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- On a busy summer weekend with no advanced reservations this park took Passport America for our 3 night stay! Only issue was the amount was due in cash only which meant I had to scrounge together enough money! The park is very pretty with lovely trees and a quiet atmosphere. We had a full hookup pull thru site and have zero complaints. The pretty setting is close enough to town to allow you to ride bikes out to the ferry and over to Mackinac Island or down to the water front for the Saturday Summer Fireworks show. They manage the park via paper and pencil so call again if they say they are full... they probably are not. For example when we originally called they said they only had a partial hookup site; when we got there they had a full hookup site. Verizon 4G was solid. if you are coming to the area to visit Mackinac this is the RV park to stay at.

Poncho’s Pond RV Park - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- They were able to fit us in last minute after having to leave the Dunes Resort down in Silver Lake due to bad Verizon Coverage. I can happily report that Verizon 4G was solid here and worked fine. The park is packed full of campers and is a bit sketchy to navigate in a big rig (if I can make it you can just take your time). Lots of local Michigan area guests staying here Ludington is a destination for vacations. There is a ferry from Ludington to Wisconsin. The park has all the amenities all listed above already. We specifically needed propane tanks filled but ended up passing after they refused to send a maintenance guy over with a golf cart to lug the tanks to the filling station. The pool was cool and refreshing so we enjoyed our time there. As a first time visitor they extended a 10% discount making our nightly rate of $45 reasonable for the accommodations and amenities.

Dunes Harbor Family Camp - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- This was a big dissappointment for us not because of anything the park did or provided but because of Verizon and their horrible coverage in this area. The coverage map shows 4G but the signal is non-existent. Even with amp we could not hold a signal and ended up having to leave after one night. The park itself is very nice and very family friendly. The only complaint is that the sites are not level at all requiring 3" of blocks under one side to level. Lots of kids playing and the pool area and camper lounge next to it were excellent. If you are making reservations here and trying to decide which are the best sites in my pinion the cheapest options are fine. The interior backin sites have pretty views and are not significantly worse off than the water front sites. For a vacation destination for the family this is a great place to stay.

Eden Springs Park and Campground - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- In a word... amazing. The history of this location alone is worth a stay. We were lucky enough to be here during a summer weekend so we could ride the classic steam train AND watch the House of David baseball team play on the original location of their field. If you are unfamiliar with the lore of House of David it is well worth an exploration in the local library; my brief description would do it no justice. We had a large pull thru site that had recently been cleaned up. Park management was friendly and visible. This area of Michigan is interesting in that you stay in Benton Harbor which is a black neighborhood replete with corrupt politicians and then cross the river to St Joe which is a white neighborhood with a booming vibrant downtown. If there is any better place to see the racial divide in action I am unsure how it could be more demonstrative. Nightly rate was very reasonable. We had a picnic table, brand new, and fire ring. It was shared with our neighbors which was a real treat. The first evening we helped a brand new RVing couple from Chicago with their dealer plate truck and trailer :). they were complete newbies so it was fun teaching them the basics. This park absolutely has to be on your must visit locations if you want to get a feel for old school midwest towns.

Cornerstone Campground and Retreat Center - My Rating is 4 out of 5 -- This is a great religious background family oriented campground. For the kids it is a real blast with their hamster tubes, play grounds and open play areas. Fishing from the piers is very kid friendly too with tons of little fish eager to hit a hook (bait or none). We stayed in one of their backin full hookup sites and it was suitable for our large rig and vehicles. A bit close together, but not sandwiched my only complaint is that the sewer hookup was located middle of the site = under the back of the RV. A nice rural farm road out front we were able to put together a nice little road bike ride circling down to the Indiana state trail segment out of Lewisville and then navigating back to the park via rural farm roads. Verizon 4G was solid and the nightly rate was appropriate. The only noise is from the nearby interstate but in the full hookup sites it is not that bad. Nice owners my only complaint is that they have a lot of what appear to be foreign guest workers who are in the young teenage age range. They are not friendly and appear to be there to screw around. In fact our overall vibe at the park was a bit off. Everyone was friendly with a hello but not welcoming in dialogue or conversation. At first I thought it was just me but in conversation with some others they commented the same way. It is nothing bad just a bit strange; similar to what happens when you visit a new church for the first time. The park takes Passport America and is well worth the discount rate. We would stay here again.

RV Campgrounds at the Indiana State Fairgrounds - My Rating is 3 out of 5 -- It is a big fairgrounds. We stayed for the FMCA event and boy if you ever feel old... just go to an FMCA event to feel young again! Most everybody is a blast to hang around except for the occasional grouchy old guy. None of that has anything to with this campground though so I will now move on to the facts. Huge camping areas that are quite a sight during the FMCA event. Thousands of RVs hooked up everywhere. They have a ton of options but everything works. The only issue is rain and mud; if you are in one of the non-paved areas be aware that mud can happen if it is rainy. Verizon 4G was solid. Getting in an out of the fairgrounds is a real adventure as the roads are narrow and the drivers are aggressive. We will only come back if we need to be here for an event.

Natural Springs Resort – RV Park, Campground and Recreation Destination - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- What a beautiful and fun place to stay. The park is set in a very quiet area not far from but not close to the interstate. The lake is absolutely amazing; cool clear water to swim and have fun in. We used the kayaks, fished, played on the water slides and over all had an amazing time here. The park is packed on the weekends but nearly empty during the week. Easily one of the best places to camp in the US we will definitely return to this park. Weekly rate came out to about $45 per night but was told there are even better rates for longer stays. Verizon 4G was solid.

Charlarose Lake & Campground - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- Wish we would have stayed longer. We used this park as an overnight stop on our way out to Ohio and were very sorry to only stay one night. It is located in a quiet rural area surrounded by trees and farms. The owners are very nice and the neighbors even more so. The playground equipment was top notch. We had a huge backin site on mowed grass that was level enough to not require blocks for our one night stay. The lake was scenic the RC track was fun and we will need to stay again. paid $30 for the night. Verizon 4G was 2 bars and data was fast. We will stay here again.

Timberline Campground - My Rating is 3 out of 5 -- Never really felt at home at this campground. It has its own vibe and a younger audience of seasonal guests we just never felt comfortable. Paid $38 per night for full hookups./ Site was not level at all requiring 3" on onside to level up. Lots of seasonals. They charge for the bounce pillow and mini-golf... never saw anyone use these features. Verizon 4G was solid. We will look to stay somewhere else next time.

Interstate RV Park & Campground - My Rating is 3 out of 5 -- The park was able to fit us in to a site last minute on July 4th weekend. The site we were assigned was an incredibly narrow pull thru with a small cement patio, ancient picnic table (actually had to repair it!), and small grass area. The site was plenty long and once the neighbors left a few days later did not feel super claustrophobic. There are wider sites in the park namely some of their backin premium sites. The office staff was always friendly and nice and we enjoyed the free dvd library for some entertainment. Very easy to get to off the interstate there are several fuel options a block away. We paid $48 per night which was overpriced for the level of amenities. More appropriate price would be in the $40 range BUT they did fill up most nights so maybe they know something I do not. Verizon 4G was solid; next time in the area we will look for somewhere else to stay.

Winterset City Park Campground - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- Ended up paying $17 per night for a 1 week stay at this lovely, quiet and smartly located city park. Winterset is a pretty little farm town with a nice town square, no Walmart (yah!) and a fun park to stay at. We did have some severe storms during our stay and spent 2 hours in the storm shelter with the other campers; all friendly and kind. Really great spot we will be back. Verizon 4G was solid.

Lyman KOA - My Rating is 4 out of 5 -- No complaints about this nicely kept rural KOA. As others noted it is a mile off the Interstate and there is no road noise. The roadway out front is lightly traveled too. The pool was nice for a dip, playground was great for the kids and the neighbors were jovial and friendly. Verizon 4G was solid. Site was somewhere narrow but plenty long to fit all 80' of our stuff. Roadways were a bit dusty but not a lot of traffic and slow speeds kept the dust down. The dump station is located on the main roadway out of the park so it can backup in the morning depart period. We paid $35 for the night.

Viking Lake State Park Campground - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- Arrived on a whim on an early summer Saturday. Park was completely full save for two full hookup sites. Thanks to their silly reservation process these two were left open. Plenty big to fit our large rig the backin had an amazing view looking out at lilly pad covered lake waters. A great park there was a wonderful mountain biking trail around the lake (5.5 miles long), a swim beach, playground, boat launches, restaurant and good ole' Americana rural fun. We paid $19!!! for 50 amp full hookups, no vehicle fees! Amazing deal the location is serene and the neighbors were nice. This is what camping should be. Couldn't stay here longer because cell and data is not working due to the location down in a crevice/ hole. Great place to camp. Fished right from shore.

Victorian Acres Campground - My Rating is 4 out of 5 -- Very nice park located in a historic and scenic area. Nebraska City was the "last stop" for the Oregon Trail travelers after they crossed the Missouri River via ferry. A short drive down the historic downtown and you are witness to the remnants of a once booming prairie town. Large brick building on a historic main street has a very nice feel. The park is located on the east side of town just off NE 2 which is a divided 4 lane that carries a bit of traffic. Luckily the park is located down in a "hole" below the road so road noise is muted to non-existent. Unfortunately the hole also limits cell data speeds by making the device strain; even on an amplifier the signal was weak. Located about 1 mile from the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center which we visited and found worth the trip (although they do charge an entry fee). We paid about $35 per night for 3 nights in a long pull thru site. Only complaint is that the park is very "old-school". They manage their sites on a piece of paper so really can get confused as to what is available. At first call they only had partial hookup sites; upon arrival they had full hookups, which they gave us, and even were able to let us stay longer than planned. Coming from the west via 2 it feels like you are in rural nowhere but coming from the East you know that the park is only 3 miles from the Interstate. We would stay again.

Buffalo Bill Ranch State Recreation Area Campground - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- Oh boy we lucked out on this one! Happened to stay here overnight on the same weekend as NebraskaLand Days and the 135th annual rodeo! What an amazing experience to be able to visit the rodeo while staying on the property once owned by the man who made rodeo famous. It was a 1.5 mile walk from camp to the front gates of the rodeo grounds and was ethereal on our return trip as the road was lighted by the flickers of lightening bugs in the grass. The campground is 1 mile back on a dusty gravel road set alongside the North Platte River. Sites are all backins with picnic tables and shared fire pits. Most the of the neighbors were locals who use the spot to vacation and hang out. The site was long enough for our big rig to fit and stay hooked up although it was not perfectly level. A camp host is onsite and was a nice guy. Water was located behind the inland side campsites and tool an extra run of hose to fill our tanks. We paid $34 for the night and enjoyed our overall experience. verizon 4G was solid.

Branched Oak State Recreation Area Campground - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- What a great find! We were rolling through Nebraska and the park we had planned on staying at was full, go figure. Checked the site and found this one. They use Reserve America and because of that silly system and the way government agencies just don't do commercial stuff right there is a 3 day window where sites become first come first served. We arrived on a summer Sunday to find 3 full hookup sites available for first come first served. Now I need to point out the annoying... the park reserves the right to reserve sites within the 3 day window IF someone calls in. So you are forced to re-register and pay day by day for each day you want to stay. It is an asinine and silly rule but alas that is how government works. Your fallback could always be water electric sites as there were literally hundreds of those available during our 3 day stay. Beautiful park and the sites were an easy walk from a small swim beach. The water is perfect for swimming in, not too hot not too cold. It is reasonably shallow out to the 5 mph buoy and simply lovely for cooling off. Our large rig fit right in to the site as it is smartly angled to the road for easy backing. Sites have good separation with picnic tables and fire rings. All the neighbors were on vacation and in great moods. A lovely fun place to stay. If you have a boat the lake is a blast for skiing, fishing and jet skis. Lots of campers stay down in the partial hookup backins, hang out on the beach and bring their boats on to the sand. A nice playground is located behind the swim beach also. The park is 15 minutes from downtown Lincoln which is a neat place to visit. Nebraska State Parks have cheap camping rates BUT they get you on per vehicle fees. For out of state residents it is $8 per car per day in addition to the camping fee. If you are towing a trailer with a truck you have to pay the $8 for your truck! Nightly rate for full hookups with a trailer and truck comes out to $34 per night. Verizon 4G was solid. Side note this is Nebraska so you need to be aware of weather. The park had been hit by sever thunderstorms two days early bringing down lots of trees and large limbs on to the campsites. Be aware.

Iron Horse RV Resort - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- What a truly nice place to camp in a RV. We originally planned on staying here for an overnight but due to mechanical failure of our transmission found ourselves stuck for a month. We could not be happier with the predicament. The staff was understanding and flexible, moving reservations around to allow us to avoid having to move our rig around. We did end up paying a weekly rate for the 4 weeks we were here but with tax and AAA discount it averaged out to just over $30 per night. This park is well laid out, quiet due to its location down below the highway level, has an easy to access back entrance that empties out by the railroad tracks for enjoyable evening strolls, a very nice pool and spa available in the neighboring hotel (you have full access!), a nice hang out area in the office and just an overall perfect location. In addition Elko amazed us. This really is a place you should plan on visiting for a few days. If you are in to off-roading there are hundreds of miles of trails accessible simply by leaving town. We enjoyed great mountain biking on the south-western side of town with a short ride up to an abandoned mine. In addition it is only 30 miles to Lamoille Canyon which easily is more beautiful than Kings Canyon National Park and right up there with Yosemite... if you are driving to Yellowstone, which many of the overnight guests were, YOU NEED TO STAY HERE AN EXTRA DAY AND VISIT LAMOILLE you will not be disappointed. We stayed in one of the mid-level backin sites which had a gravel parking area and concrete patio with picnic table. It worked fine. The deluxe sites have grass yards which are pretty but they do sprinkler them and do mow them regularly. Finally if you do find your diesel has a mechanical issue Elko is home to Neff's Diesel. It is a light truck diesel repair place that is reasonably priced, staffed by knowledgeable techs, and owned by a genuine nice guy in Jeremy Neff. To be stuck due to a serious mechanical we really could not have been in more perfect hands. Elko is now on our radar as one of those special places the majority of travelers race on bye but we now know is a good place to sit and stay a spell. Verizon 4g is solid. HD TV has 25 channels.

Dove Springs Off-Highway Vehicle Area Primitive Camping - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- We used Dove Springs as an overnight stop on our way from the coast up to Reno via US 395. The entrance is located on the left, heading North, just after coming out of Red Rock Canyon State Park. There is a cattle guard and then the dirt road which is well packed gravel and was actually very smooth. We rolled our big rig down about 3/4 mile to the first camping/ staging area and setup for the night. It was very windy but beautiful and free. our first time ever boon-docking and not a bad experience. Noticed a ton of BLM officials going in and out of the area and plenty of off-roaders all was good. We walked the trails behind the staging area and enjoyed our evening. If crowded it might not be as much fun, nor as peaceful but if you are looking for an easy to access free BLM camping location in California this is a perfect option. Do note that Verizon service displayed bars but we were unable to connect calls or grab data.

Pacific Dunes Ranch and RV Resort - My Rating is 3 out of 5 -- The previous reviewer nailed the true value that makes this park awesome... immediate access to walk out and explore the dunes. They are a blast for about a week; beyond that they start becoming more of a hassle with sand and the like. We had an amazing time driving my sons Traxxas Slash out in the sand. We toasted 3 motors due to the fine grit sand getting in to the windings but it was well worth the cost! That RC truck blasted all over the dunes and was pure fun and family bonding. The park itself is overpriced for non-members. We payed just under $800 for a 2 week stay! I later learned that the monthly guests pay $850 per month. When I brought this up to the office staff the woman more or less told me to pound sand. What made the finding worse was that when I called to make the reservation the woman that answered made it seem like the park was full and they were "squeezing" us in. In reality the park, other than the long term guests, was mostly empty our entire stay (End of April in to May). The staff is otherwise very friendly notably the out and about camphosts. They always had a friendly wave and hello when passing. The other guests were also very pleasant and friendly. The facilities on the other hand are in need of some maintenance. It would take so little to make this place nice, some paint, some time and that is it. Verizon 4G is available but is a weak 2 bars that was constantly throttled for my 4G plan. At $55 per night the park is way over-priced but with some work as noted above could be a fair value. The pull thru sites are plenty long but on the upper level not level. The view was spectacular looking out across the dunes. Overall it is a 3 stars middle of the road for us. if you are a Thousand Trails or Encore member 4-5 stars would be the rating.

Flying Flags RV Resort & Campground - My Rating is 2 out of 5 -- I have a real beef with this place and it actually carries over the entire Highway West chain of resorts... ANSWER YOUR PHONES! We tried making a reservation through the website but it would not work. When I tried calling I got into a call tree and was directed to voicemail. Left a message and never received a call back.

River Park RV Campground - My Rating is 3 out of 5 -- This is a really tough park to rate. The City of Lompoc has a lot of homeless living in the city. As a result a number of homeless live in the campground within the confines of the posted 3 week in 1 week out rules. Being what it is we never had any issues with our neighbors and ended up meeting some nice folks who have found themselves in tough circumstances. That being said I feel it is important to let you know this is what is going on at the park so you don't stumble upon it like we did. The city homeless shelter is located across Hwy 246 and is only open during the evenings; this forces the residents to stay somewhere else during the day so there is a population of people meandering through the park that are less fortunate than the majority of Americans. A big unrelated problem is that the city does not have a camp host at this park. Many of the posted rules are completely ignored and un-enforced including parking and site cleanliness. Truth be told when we pulled in our first reaction was "what the heck are we getting in to". As a result of this neglect and mismanagement we were the unfortunate witnesses to a violent pitbull attack against another camper's small dog. The small dog eventually died from the injuries and was a tragic experience to witness (our hearts go out to the owner who was devastated). A final "bad" is that the RV sites are located along the main access road to the community park area of this city run park. They have a newer play area and a nice fishing lake back there so a lot of traffic, notably on weekends, flows in and out. There are large speed bumps so speeds are relatively slow but nonetheless there is a steady stream of traffic. Now on to the "good". Lompoc is a pretty city in a pretty area. The climate is nearly perfect and the area is surrounded by scenic farmland and rolling hills. We were able to hop on the bikes and make several very scenic rides in and around the area including a tough out and back ride by crossing Hwy 246 and riding Sweeney Road to the end. We were only 20 minutes from Solvang, 40 minutes from Pismo and close to some amazing secluded beaches including Surf CA and Jalama. We paid $200 for the week with a large backin site that accommodated our long 5th wheel and 2 vehicles. The site has a fire pit and picnic table. The only tough part was arriving on a weekend and trying to backin to the site. There is a fence across the road that makes it tough. It took some work getting in and was made worse by the dirty looks from some of the folks traveling to and from the city park area. We had a pretty view out the windows looking west across farmland towards the mountains. Regarding the above mentioned homeless camp, it is a serious issue that became all too obvious during the dog attack and in the lack of response from local authorities; staying here you are lumped in with a population that is not treated at the same level as "regular" citizens. There is a private RV park 15 miles away at the Highway West location in Buellton BUT you will be paying a premium to stay there. Before coming here we did some research online and read some reviews on Google that were completely false. First off one reviewer stated that the sites only have water and electric; this is untrue the sites are all full hookups. Another reviewer stated that there was no flush toilets or showers; this is also untrue. There is a shower house that is open during daylight hours only (closes at 6pm). The tent camping area was on a little spur off the main road with sites on mowed grass. There were some homeless camping there just not the scary kind (that sounds bad I know). Verizon 4G worked well and we would stay here again in the future... maybe and only if the city improves the conditions of the campground/ park. With all the above I give the park 3 stars as an affordable option in the central coast area.

Camp Comfort Campground - My Rating is 4 out of 5 -- Nice little campground located not far from Ojai. It is tucked off North Creek Road along a "side street" that cuts from CA 33 over to the otherside of Ojai; as a result it does get a steady flow of traffic. This is really only an issue for the sites along the road which is one of the ones we had. Our large RV was able to fit into site 4 and pretty much would have only fit in site 4 or 5. Site 5 is a horrible site if someone is in site 4 as it is within 3 feet of the other site!. As for site 4 we choose it because we could back right in to it from the main parking lot avoiding trying to make the loop. Our rig was too big for this campground and barely (we went over the curb) got in the entrance to the park. I advise anyone with a RV or trailer longer than 36' to try somewhere else. The sites are not level at all; not crazy out of level, just not level. Lots of large older trees so plan accordingly if a storm is coming in. The onsite camphost, Stewart, was very helpful and nice. He has the front site and is around most of the day. During the week the campground was empty but by Friday evening was 2/3 full. It had rained recently so the river was flowing well making for lots of fun swimming in the little holes along the river and playing in the water. The playground is very nice and overall the campground is an excellent choice. We rode the bikes from camp up Hermosa Rd to the Ojai River Bike Trail. From there we descended down to Ventura, enjoyed the beach and rode back to the RV. This ride is not for the faint of heart as it is 20 miles roundtrip with a good grade coming back. The rate was $35 per night for full hookups. They do not have a dump station. A small laundry and restrooms with showers are available. On weekends the park is popular with locals. Verizon 4G and phone were excellent, no TV service via HD antenna; Stewart had a Dish setup and was able to get a signal in his RV. We won't try squeezing our RV in to here again but if we had a smaller unit then this would be on our short list for the area.

Lake Colorado City State Park Campground - My Rating is 4 out of 5 -- A great overnight stop for our travels across Texas. Water and electric hookups worked great and dump station was easy in and out. The first site we were assigned was not very level but we easily moved to another after checking back in at the checkin booth. Pretty desert landscape with lots of cactus. A bobcat was roaming the area. We hiked a lovely trail along the banks overlooking the river that was not unreasonably long or difficult but still fun. Inexpensive; all in all a good stop

Noble Creek Park RV Sites - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- A very pleasant place to stay! We arrived on Monday for 2 nights and there was only one other RV there. We had site 21 facing the mountains and enjoyed the amazing view. The roads inside the camping area are loose dirt and gravel so my only complaint is the dust kicked up by the occasional car. The park is popular and they had softball or baseball going on each evening. The dog park is packed all day and night. The RC course is only open by appointment or during events. Great riding from the area and an overall impressive place for what it is. The concrete pads are not level and required 2" on one side and about 2 degrees front to back to level out. Verizon 4G was fast, over the air HD was great and there is a grocery store a block away. We paid $30 per night and that would be our only complaint; it is a chore to register and get the parking pass. They lock the utilities so you do need advanced registration and then you need to hope someone is on site if arriving on a weekend. The site was very large and fit our 44' 5th wheel and two vehicles fine. They have a clause stating only one vehicle allowed but no one hassled us or said a thing. Propane is available at True Value north of here.

Bingham Park RV Sites and Campground - My Rating is 4 out of 5 -- Missed out on this one because it is so low key and out of mind. Passed by here on our way to some shopping while staying at a Passport America park further up the road. Wish we knew about this one would have been perfect. Plenty big for our huge rig and a nice little playground onsite. Convenient to both North Cascade National Park and the Anacortes/ San Juan Islands area. Right in town so Verizon 4G was solid. Only issue is that it is a city park in town; not a luxury community so one could worry a bit about safety of your stuff. We will stay here next time.

Spokane RV Resort - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- Wow what an amazing place to stay. Very quiet and peaceful and a reasonable $245 for the week. We had a backin overlooking the grass buffer to the golf course. A short walk to the nice pool and playground this park was perfect. Great Verizon cell signal 4G. The town is not touristy so prices are reasonable. A very quiet suburban neighborhood right next door with sidewalks for nice long walks. We will stay here again.

Pine Near RV Park & Campground - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- We stayed this last summer and really enjoyed the park. Used it as an overnight on our way over the Cascades and it was perfect. We had this large pull thru site on lush green grass, it was like camping in someones front yard. Easy walk in to town passing through the historical society museum (right across the quiet street). The town is very touristy but unique and located in a pretty area. Staff was very nice and price was reasonable at $35 for the night. Verizon 4G was solid and so were all the hookups. Great cycling around here. Gladly will stay again.

Tapo Canyon Regional Park Campground - My Rating is 4 out of 5 -- The price of this place has gone up. It is really the only game in town and the only place with full hookups that will have availability for a 20 mile radius. With over 120,000 people living in Simi Valley alone there are a ton of reasons why people would want to stay here. We unfortunately could not get in. As a county run park it is subject to insane rules and mismanagement. Reservations can only be made 14 days out or sooner; within 14 days it becomes 1st come 1st served with no real idea if a site is available next to driving out there; if the place is full you are looking at a minimum 45 minute drive to the next likely place with first come first served availability for full hookups. Oak Park on the other end of town will always have sites available because it sucks; but they are partial hookups and can be a bit tight to get in to. No cell service to speak of; if you stand in certain spots you may be able to get a partial signal but don't move or you'll lose it. Great mountain biking and hiking all around. Simi is a safe community with nice neighborhoods and roads. Shopping just down the street plus the public library if you need internet.

Action Camp - My Rating is 1 out of 5 -- This place is run by some nice people which makes this review more hard... it is a dump. First off there are factors outside their control after the massive fires of 2016 the area and even parts of the park were damaged. The park itself is packed in with some long term guests and dumpy trailers. No cell service and bad wifi. Rate is way too high we paid $45 per night. Weeds, trash etc. KOA needs to evaluate this location again. We won't camp here again.

Roper Lake State Park Campground - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- Wow wow wow what an amazing place to camp. We were driving from Las Cruces to Mesa and took the cut off towards Globe. Paid $28 for 50 amp electric and water. Site was plenty large to fit our huge fifth wheel and truck without un-hooking! Trails were great, pretty area, amazing views of the mountains and incredible sunsets. The hot tub was great, had it to ourselves. We will absolutely return in the future. Verizon 4G was 3 bars and reasonably fast.

The Coachlight Inn and RV Park - My Rating is 4 out of 5 -- Paid $18.65 per night for 2 nights using our Passport America card. very happy with this park. It was clean, relatively quiet, convenient to the interstate and the utilities worked. The office staff was professional and efficient but only accept cash or check. The site was very large and easy to get in to. We stayed in Nov during a cold spell. Las Cruces is a pretty area with lots of history and, in our opinion, is one of the nicer communities to visit in the state of New Mexico. Verizon 4G was solid 5 bars but did get a bit bogged down during peak times. There was some truck noise in the morning and again in the afternoon; apparently there are some truck yards in the area. Not overwhelming loud but still there. We would stay here again when passing thru.

Oakdale Park Campground and RV Park - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- Absolutely amazing stay. We came here to stay for a month while we performed some trade shows down in Fort Worth. As a home base we could not have asked for a better location; except for maybe the elimination of the nearby nuclear power plant that is. We had a huge pull thru site with a nice grassy area and picnic table. Office staff was nice but a bit hard to reach for reservations. We fell in love with this area, the locals and the overall community feel. We joined a number of community activities including the Halloween events in the park, downtown and at another local park. We also joined in the BFestival in early November. We were able to create some fun and peaceful bicycle rides through the surrounding county maintained roads with low to no traffic. Located in the hill country of Texas the area has stunning scenery with rolling oak covered hills. The local hospital is right next door too. All services worked great. The playground is a bit small but we walked across the highway, down the paved path and over the new playground in the community park. If you are looking for the perfect place to spend some time in a RV... this is it. Verizon 4G worked great. We will absolutely return. Paid $400 for one month everything included.

AOK RV Retreat - My Rating is 4 out of 5 -- Choices are a bit slim in Carlsbad and we were looking for an inexpensive, clean and simple place to call home for a few days while we visited the nearby Carlsbad Caverns National Park. We arrived without reservations and met very nice onsite managers who were happy to check us in. The daily rate was $35 per night but they offered us a discount to $30 per night (the more appropriate rate given the current state of the park). We don't need a ton of thrills. We just want solid electric, water and sewer service and a usable Verizon signal. They nailed it on 4 of the 5. Water pressure was a bit low otherwise everything else was perfect. Verizon 4G was a solid and fast 5 bars! We liked the out of town location, not big fans of Carlsbad, and the easy access to the relief route heading north towards Roswell to avoid the city. They are still building out the park so it is pretty bare bones right now but worked for us. Compared to the other options in the area this is the nicest reasonably priced spot in the area. We will stay here next time we pass thru. It is adjacent to the highway but we found the noise to not be that bad with a vehicle every couple minutes or so... and we were in the site closest to the road!

Forest Park RV Sites - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- It is free to Camp here and there is a nice park with a playground swings and disc golf. Did I mention it is free. 30 amp electric and water available only one other RV while we stayed. We pulled through along the grass parallel to the roadway. Only required 2 inches to level side to side. This is a free campground in a public park. 5 stars for this benefit. Verizon 4G for bars. We will stay here again.

Desert Paradise RV Village - My Rating is 4 out of 5 -- A very nice RV Park only 12 miles from White Sands National Monument full hookups and pull throughs for the short-term stay make this a convenient stop. The only problem is that they charge additional fees for 50 amp and for extra people. Very quiet at night and even during the day. Verizon 4G is solid and it is very convenient two hop on the cut off to avoid downtown Alamogordo on your way in or out. We paid $32 a night. Coming in from the West is a pain because you have to make a u-turn to come in the entrance. There is plenty of room to make the you turn even with a big rig. We would stay here again.

81 Palms Senior RV Resort - My Rating is 1 out of 5 -- Just made it to the front of this park and met the groundskeeper/ manager/ wanna be cop. I am not sure what the heck is going on here but the razor wire along the fence line, 2 cop cars parked out front, and multiple "security" signs should of gave it away but no I then had a run in with above mentioned manager dude. We stayed at another park in town and I stopped by the other parks and this one to see what they looked like. The guy roles up in a pickup truck and turns on a real police siren! Greets me with kind of a curt hello what do I want? Explained I wanted to see the park if it was okay. He asked what was in my back-pack (water hydration bag)? Confused I said what? "You been rolling around picking up stuff?" he implied I was stealing! Nope it was my mail that I was about to drop off at the post office in town! What a jerk. Park looked like a big gravel lot. The office was kind of neat and seemed manicured. I will never stay here and advise you to shop around unless you like being looked at suspiciously.

Deming Roadrunner RV Park & Self Storage - My Rating is 3 out of 5 -- Less than $14 for full hookups with Passport America... need I say more. All the RV Parks around here look the exact same. This one was quiet had a friendly gentleman check us in, nice neighbors to greet and a quiet evening. Easy on and off from the interstate. No issues. Now if you are looking to stay for a while this may not be the best choice. There were some seriously run down RVs including one that was burned to the ground! Not sure why you would stay long term in Deming but who am I to judge. This park was suitable for our stay and will be our choice next time we pass through.

Lagoon Amusement Park Camping - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- Can't believe I forgot to review this one... what a great park! If you have a family with kids this is an absolute must visit. Our 4 year old was able to ride some of the roller coasters in the park and had a blast. The camping area is a lot nicer than we were led to believe by reading other review sites. A ton of families and kids all enjoying the park. Sites are a bit tight and the staff has no idea what they are doing (kids working summer jobs) but so what. We paid $85 per night to camp at Fort Wilderness and spent that TOTAL for the site and entrance to the park here. Well worth it we stayed for a week enjoying the area and the ambiance. Verizon 4G was great easy access to the interstate. A+

Twin Palms RV Park - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- What a nice surprise this park was. We have family in Mesa and have been hopping around from park to park over the last few years trying to find the right place for us. Took a shot on this one and found a winner. Paid $32 per night for a 1 week stay. Squeezed our large rig in and out with out incident and enjoyed a very quiet and peaceful park. No frills just the way we like it. Verizon 4G was excellent (you can see the tower a block away), 50 amp power was solid, water pressure great and overall the park is well kept. The manager (or owner) Steve greeted us upon arrival (in fact he called us 2 hours ahead of time to confirm!) and had us right in to our site. Excellent place to stay. If you are a cyclist the adjacent canal bike path is a wonderful ride and is lit at night (although the path does pass through some sketchy areas). We will absolutely return in the future.

Scottsdale RV Ranch (Permanently Closed) - My Rating is 1 out of 5 -- This park clearly does not need or want your business. Try and make a reservation. You can ONLY email them a request and 2-3 days later they will respond. Just received my rejection from them 2 days after I sent the request. Thankfully I had already made reservations somewhere else.

RV Park at Win-River Resort & Casino - My Rating is 3 out of 5 -- $24/ night for a concrete parking pad with full hookups. Easy in and out we were greeted by one of their friendly golfing cart valet drivers. Picked a spot and he gave us a ride to checkin. Front desk staff were not cheery and not professional but got us checked in and provided the key for the electricity. Yes they lock up their electricity! Night is day here where they flood the area with white light at night. There is a crime problem here due to location and type of business so they are aggressive about security. The pool was an ice box and the spa was a broiler. Arcade was 4 games. Overall we were unimpressed and will not return. Verizon 4g was excellent 5 bars. A little bit off I5 the place is better than a Walmart but not perfect. Follow the GPS coordinates provided by CampgroundViews and they will lead you to the "back road" that takes you right to the RV sites. If you stay on the main road it is a tight turn in and the speed bumps are more numerous and larger. There is a nice little exercise course out by the RV sites and some picnic BBQ places.

Jack’s Landing RV Resort - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- Wow wow wow this place was great. Our tip ask for sites in the 40's located on the lower loop. They are further from the freeway and down a level so nice and quiet. The price was only $30 per night and the park was well maintained, quiet and clean. At first it looked tight for the backin but we pulled the loop and backed it right in. A little tight on the concrete we still fit and enjoyed our stay. Office staff was friendly. Grants Pass is a nice town and this is the place to stay in our opinion. The pull thrus are large but you would have more road noise up there. Verizon 4G was excellent and so was over the air digital TV.

Village Camper Inn RV Park - My Rating is 4 out of 5 -- We paid $241 for a week stay in the area we love. The park is well maintained but the sites are a bit tight. We had to park with one tire up on the concrete patio in order to extend our slides. Nice neighbors and pretty grounds. The long term guests are out in the back and they were nice and had nice rigs too. Verizon 4G was solid and Walmart is less than a mile away. Nice park.

The Old Mill RV Park and Event Center - My Rating is 4 out of 5 -- The park is under new management who are working to clean it up. Apparently previous management let the guests stay and collect the stuff that long term guests collect and the park is looking pretty sad as a result. Nearly all the full hookup sites are taken by long term guests and some of those rigs were downright scary. We were placed in a pull thru partial hookup site next to what ended up being a seasonal trailer. The guy was parked really poorly and arrived after we were setting up. Apparently he claimed domain over our site area and that was when we discovered just how awesome the management is. I brought the issue to her instead of dealing with the dude and she had him laughing and smiling as she told him to essentially shut up :). Good service is hard to find but when you find it you love it. Garibaldi is a fishing town and draws in fisher-folk (PC word). Tip: drive through the county park (Barview Jetty) campground and park right next to the jetty. A beautiful sandy beach awaits! Verizon 4G and phone were solid. A historic train runs right from the station next door, small bakery across the street, walking access to everything. We paid $30 per night and would stay again if this management is still there.

Hoquiam River RV Park - My Rating is 4 out of 5 -- Zero complaints here. They fit us in last minute for 4 days while we visited Olympic National Park. Full hookup backin over with their long term guests. Very quiet park with an awesome water front stretch along a tidal river (it rises and falls several feet with the tide). Right off US 101 most of the sites are tucked back and this place was simply silent at night. Office manager and her son were great and even offered brownies when we arrived. Price was a little high but they fit us in and run a nice park so worth it. Verizon 4G was 1 bar and a bit slow. Hoquiam and Aberdeen WA are working people towns not tourist traps. This is real coastal Washington fishing, logging (primary) and blue collar area. We liked it for a visit.

The Dunes Beach Resort - My Rating is 3 out of 5 -- This is not a luxury RV resort... THIS IS a Passport America Park right next to the Ocean. A short walk down a path (1/2 mile) takes you to secluded sandy beaches. The park has a number of old structures but was not scary at all. For the price and location it is a great spot. Our problem and we had to leave because of it was spotty Verizon Coverage. We only had 3G bouncing to 1x data and 1 bar phone. Can't keep connected on that and had to leave. Really nice manager on site and we really wanted to make it work but a call the next day and business dictated we move on. Overall we came in not expecting much but were really surprised with what we found... in a good way.

Alpine RV Park & Campground - My Rating is 4 out of 5 -- Can you say Passport America excellence?! $15 for the night in a huge pull through with 50 amp full hookups. Place was nearly empty and only 15 minutes back up and in to the National Park Verizon Coverage was weak 1 bar 4G but an amp helped. Nice camp host the park is a very suitable stop over. The site was lumpy mowed grass so took some wood to level but $15 for full hookups in a quiet setting is okay with me.

Concrete / Grandy Creek KOA - My Rating is 3 out of 5 -- Because of the price this is just an average park. It is part KOA and part Thousand Trails. They do get kudos for having a site last minute during a busy summer season but I bet that site was probably available because it cost $45/ night in an area that has a lot more choices available for people not pulling a huge trailer. Checkin was a bit weird as the gate handled it right when we pulled up. The woman working the gate must have been new because she was not confident on routing directions and with our big rig that is kind of important. Ended up making it in to the site and found a very large pull through tucked in to nice shade trees with a view out back of the large prairie. The park does not feel like a KOA it is roomy a bit rural and forested. It was scheduled event weekend so lots of families but there was a burn ban at the time which meant we could stay outside and breathe (okay now I am sounding like a curmudgeon). The pool was available but had recently been unleashed from a mountain glacier... as in it was not heated and was freezing. The bounce pillow costs extra! and was really looking worn. Playground was okay. It all comes back to my original line; the park is just okay because of the price. Charge $30 per night and all the negatives can be overlooked/ charge what they do and the park is meh. Verizon 4G and phone worked good (2 bars), reasonably close to both North Cascade National Park and Anacortes. We left early one morning and drove the hour ten minutes to the ferry, rode our bike on and spent a day at Friday Harbor. Note we did check out the other parks in this immediate vicinity and this is by far the nicest for families.

Two-Bit Outfit RV Park - My Rating is 4 out of 5 -- Love the name and enjoyed our overnight at the park. Large easy to access pull thru with large shade trees all right off the road. Quiet at night and day. Easy walk over to town and the fireman park playground. Verizon 4G was good. Seemed to be a lot of seasonal guests but their sites are clean. If you stay take a walk across the road over to the local high school; Paul Bunion foot prints and the school mascot tell you what the area is all about... logging. We paid $35 for the night.

Helena North KOA - My Rating is 2 out of 5 -- We drove over to see this place and ended up glad we stayed at the fairgrounds. Way overpriced for a gravel lot, not full but unable to answer the phone.

Lewis & Clark County Fairgrounds Campground - My Rating is 3 out of 5 -- $20 per night for water and electric. The campground is out back and is not trimmed and proper but for the price it was fine. There was a fire ring and picnic bench but we enjoyed riding the bikes around the very large and lightly used grounds. There is a great public park on site with a classic army tank from World War II. Known as the M7 Priest it appears that these are relatively rare as most were destroyed after the war. Could not get a hold of the Lincoln RV Park (why would anyone answer a phone??) so stayed here instead. Very glad we did and will do it again in the future when passing thru. Verizon was strong.

Y Lazy R RV Park - My Rating is 4 out of 5 -- Nice well run little park in East Glacier. You can, and we did, walk around the entire little town and then across the street and under the train tracks to the historic inn built by the railroad as the first and main destination for early visitors to Glacier. The rate was less than $30 per night for a huge backin site on mowed grass. 30 amp power water and sewer. Very scenic view looking out towards the mountains. We will stay here again. Strong Verizon signal.

Robin’s Roost Grocery Store and More RV Sites - My Rating is 3 out of 5 -- Overall we were very pleased with this place. Very inexpensive, they had a site available during busy season, site tucked in to the trees, well stocked grocery on site, a nice walk to the playground over in the adjacent community, across the road from Sawtelle Resort. The only site open was a very small backin that we were able to squeeze our rig into. 30 amp power was good but appears to have been lower voltage. Verizon 4G worked with an amp. Paid $22 per night for full hookups so a very cheap place to stay near Yellowstone.

Historic Virginian Hotel RV Sites - My Rating is 3 out of 5 -- Unique? Heck yeah! Quiet and out of the way? Absolutely. This is a very unique place to stay for a night in the RV. As the description states this is a living ghost town and the locals are great. Unique history and unique location. Verizon 4G worked great and the little ice cream shop was wonderful. A real treat for skipping the interstate!

Circle L Mobile Home Park RV Sites - My Rating is 1 out of 5 -- Very rude male answered the phone when we called for a possible reservation. I had called about an hour earlier and spoke to a nice woman who said there would be no problem with us getting a site for the days we needed but I would have to call back after 1 to reserve. I called back and the gentleman answered. I explained that I was calling to finalize my reservation and he rudely responded that they were full. Confused from the previous call I asked if they would have any openings on any other days during our targeted stay. He said again rudely they were full and there was nothing open at all. Rather shocked at this very poor customer service.

Meeker Riverbend RV Park - My Rating is 3 out of 5 -- $30 per night and nearly had the place to ourselves. The sites are plenty big for our huge trailer but plan accordingly. We entered from 9th St but should have come in 8th St. Depending on which way your nose is facing if you are in a big rig it is easier to avoid going around the loop as the turns are a bit tight on each end. Mowed grass between sites and river rock roads and site pads. Reasonably level. Behind a trailer park that has questionable residents (listened to boom-boom boom of the bass for about 2 hours in the afternoon). Mowed trails and a short walk to the river but it is swift flowing and no beach right there. In addition I fell into a 3 feet deep hole hidden in the grass; amazing did not hurt myself but be careful. After traipsing around the long grass by the river we were warned by a local that this is Mountain Lion territory and one had been spotted the day before!! Multiple fuel stations in town including one outside with easy access for large rigs. A quaint downtown area within walking distance this is a rural out of the way community popular with retirees and folks that want to be left alone. We liked it for the overnight stay.

Moab KOA - My Rating is 3 out of 5 -- This park has really grown with new sites and higher prices. We skipped the park after finding another in town but had friends staying here so checked it out. The KOA is a well run and clean park. Great views from the back sites I would recommend requesting those instead of their new ones right next to the highway. The advantage of the new sites is they are easier to get in and out of.

Portal RV Resort - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- What a pleasant surprise. In years past we had overlooked this park due to reviews on other sites but after seeing the video and the pictures decided to give this park a try. We originally planned on staying at the KOA but they wanted over $60 per night with taxes for a standard pull thru site! This park was $45 per night plus the 13%!!! Moab occupancy tax. Large pull thru on gravel rock. Nice concrete patio with table. A little shade tree and friendly neighbors. The park was very pretty and we were told they will have a pool for the non-ownership section by next year. Honestly we don't care. The swimming lake was very refreshing and felt more like camping. This is our new go to in the area which is rapidly becoming an expensive destination anyways. As a bonus it was a shorter ride after completing the Whole Enchilada bike ride. While the paved bike path is across the street if you have kids it is much safer to go down the 1/2 mile to the light and cross at he cross walk. Also check out the Moab community pool. It is beautiful and fun.

BLM Dispersed Area near Zion NP - My Rating is 3 out of 5 -- Coal Pits is no longer open. The "new" location is less well known and used due to its location a few miles off the main drag. Seemed like a bit more "boondocking" crowd versus the touristy feel of Coal Pits. The new area is RV accessible.

Zion Canyon Campground and RV Park - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- It doesn't matter what I write or how I write it... you will go here and stay here. Even with the aforementioned insanely difficult reservation process (probably why the place was never full even on a busy holiday weekend) or the forest fire level of smoke at night or the water pressure that drops to a trickle in the evening. This park is in one of the most beautiful locations in the world and is reasonably priced too ($36/ night for a 7 day stay). As the other reviewers noted the reservstion process stinks but we found the staff to be very friendly and overall really enjoyed ourselves. Verizon is struggling in this area during peak season. The tower must be overloaded; there is 4G and phone coverage.

Duke’s Slickrock Grill / Campground & RV Park - My Rating is 4 out of 5 -- Swung by here on my way through the area and was very impressed. A newer park the hookups looked great sites were nice pull thrus and the laundry/ bath-house were clean. There is a steakhouse out front. Robbers Roost is not too far from this area... lots of Utah solitude out here.

Sleepy Hollow Campground - My Rating is 3 out of 5 -- Drove by here today and seemed deserted. One rig in there (camp host?) and shut gate. Very rural and out of the way spot. An oasis in the utah scenic desert. Submitting pics and video. No cell/ data coverage... did I mention it was rural? Large sites.

Wonderland RV Park - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- Very nice RV park with smooth fresh gravel roads and pads. Easy to maneuver in our large rig. Next to the road but quiet at night. Verizon cell was good butdata was only 3G. Short and scenic drive over to Capital Reef NP Fruita area. Located at 7k feet it was nice and cool at night even in July. We paid $38 for full hookups for the evening.

Las Vegas KOA at Sam’s Town Boulder Highway - My Rating is 3 out of 5 -- Meh... Too bad this place is a KOA now. Same exact park as before with the only change being an additional $10 per night KOA premium. No playground for the kids and cars racing around the roads not family friendly. The pool was cold the spa was nice. Verizon 4G worked fine. Easy access in and out. We checked out the Nellis location and would highly recommend that sister park over this one. No playground there but a lot quieter setting with less traffic.

Ventura Beach RV Resort - My Rating is 4 out of 5 -- They have really spiffed this place up! New palm trees, site pads and an overall upgrade to the park makes the place now worthy of their incredibly high prices. We are locals to Ventura County so are not big fans of the homeless problem and the way Ventura City is handling it. The park has gates and aggressive security keeping you safe. My reduction of a star was a result of this aggressive security presence; I went out for a bike ride in my workout clothes and upon returning was raced up to by two security guys wanting to know "what I was up to". It so shocked me I was left speechless. I guess it is both a good and a bad; they are on top of it but make sure you don;t look homeless :) Office staff is still gruff, price is still high, the freeway is still right there but overall this is now a positive choice in the area. Verizon 4G was great. We paid $90 per night with tax.

Mountain View RV Park - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- What makes this RV park so great are the very reasonable rates. It is under priced for the area probably because the owners don’t advertise. Rumor has it that they are considering closing this place down to build something else which would be a real shame. Santa Paula is an agricultural community with a high Latin population. The town as a result does have some crime issues but inside the park we did not have any problems. Verizon 4G is rocket fast. 10 miles from Ventura, 25 miles from Magic Mountain and located opposite traffic in both directions this is a nice place to stay in Ventura County. We paid $28 per night for our 17 day stay which can not be beat anywhere else in the area. Our 44 foot fifth wheel was able to fit in one of their large sites (barely). The sites are nice sized but all are at 90 degrees to the road with either trees or electric poles serving as markers = you can’t fudge getting in. Very nice onsite managers. Wonderful weather and overall a great experience.

Sweetwater Summit Campground - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- $33 per night with a 21 day max stay limit in a beautiful San Diego County Park with a majestic view looking back over Bonita and Chula Vista toward the San Diego Bay this is Sweetwater Summit Campground and is easily the best campground or RV park in San Diego. Verizon 4G is great along with 3G too. It was smart of them to set a 21-day day limit otherwise there would never be any sites. There are probably at least 50 miles of bicycle and hiking trails accessible right from the campground. You can drop down off the mountain and ride along the park to the path that follows the river to the Bay or you can ride past Sweetwater Reservoir and climb the second highest peak in the area. And these trails are open to hikers and horseback riders too. The pull thru sites and roads will fit most any RVs and the tent sites are nice too. Some people may not like the constant air traffic flying overhead including planes landing San Diego International Airport and the occasional Convoy of Marine or Navy helicopters... us plane lovers enjoyed it. When the jumbos would come in it seemed they were close enough to touch!

Outdoor Resort Palm Springs - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- Wow, wow, wow this place is absolute heaven. We stayed during the Coachella Stage Coach show and had the park to ourselves. They have a bunch of rental sites but people must not know about this place. Amazing is the only word to describe it and reasonably priced too. We paid the same rate at KOA's in California for a lot less in amenities and quality that we found here. Everything is top notch. Verizon 4G worked great, we paid $70 per night and do not regret it one bit. Will absolutely stay here again.

Space Station RV Park - My Rating is 4 out of 5 -- A little rough around the edges the park suited us fine for stay outside Death Valley the rate was very reasonable and as we found out the park is simple enough to navigate in a large RV. they have a market on site and a propane fill and dump station. my only complaint is that the locals coming into and out of the market drive a bit fast on the roads. easy walk into town and reasonably close to Death Valley we paid $186 for a week. Verizon 4G was excellent. we would stay here again. speed limit is 25 in the street in front so very little road noise. our tip is to take a bike ride on the old rail bed from the west side of town out to rhyolite.

Cathedral Palms Resort - My Rating is 2 out of 5 -- What a dump! Not as nice as any of the other parks in the area it is just a gravel lot. They are doing things to fix it up it appears but next time we will go somewhere else.

Palm Springs / Joshua Tree KOA - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- Wow this place has come a long ways over the last few years. We stayed here on a Passport America rate for a very reasonable rate. The season, snowbirds, was over so the park was very quiet and peaceful (although I imagine it is when they are here too). The pool and spas completely spoiled us with their embracing warmth and cleanliness. We ventured to Joshua Tree and Palm Springs in ease from this park. Very large sites and easy to navigate through the park. My only advise would be on your approach when entering swing wide to hit the curb straight on as it does have a lip. Verizon 4G was super solid and we paid $22.50 per night for 10 days. Gated entrance and always visible staff makes you feel secure and they were helpful with directions and tips too. We will absolutely stay here again.

Furnace Creek Resort Fiddler’s Campground - My Rating is 3 out of 5 -- The good... it is only $18 a night. The bad... it is $18 to park in a dirt lot behind a gas station, next to a service road, and a parking lot. Verizon 3G and cell worked. Plenty of room for the biggest rig; you get to know your neighbors. Would much rather stay in the NPS campground next door.

Scotty’s RV Park - My Rating is 4 out of 5 -- This one really surprised us. Located in a neighborhood the park has really nice large pull thrus on the north side that would be handy for an overnight. The neighborhood is older but not scary. They have some long term guests on the south end of the park but I didn't see any crazy stuff that would scare me away. This would be my choice for an overnight in Hawthorne if the price is reasonable. Verizon 4G is solid. (Note: we did not stay here just checked it out)

El Capitan Casino RV Parking - My Rating is 2 out of 5 -- Do you like Walmart camping? Then this place is for you. A big lot for boondocking located behind the old casino. Given the price of the neighboring RV parks not sure this is worth it. Had a few rigs every time we drove by so people know and like it.

Whiskey Flats RV Park - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- When you combine the reasonable rate, ease of access, inexpensive propane fill, access to grocery store and unique location this is a very nice RV park. We stayed for 3 days while traveling through to Death Valley and enjoyed the park. A unique and important decision element is that the gravel sites are cheaper than the concrete sites. If you are staying during cooler months take the gravel sites... but if you are staying anytime it is warm take the concrete sites. Why? All of the concrete sites have your nose facing northwest; you get the sun in the AM but as the temps warm it drifts to your backside reducing the need for the awning at your front door. The gravel sites face in the opposite direction and will have your door facing the afternoon and setting sun. The town is unique and quiet. A good post office, ACE hardware, and small thrift shop on the main drag. We paid $26 and change per night. Verizon 4G was 4 bars solid speed.

Pinto Lake Park Campground - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- If you are looking to stay in the Monterey Bay area on a budget this is really the only game in town. At $35 per night or $210 for a week for full hookups and nice grassy sites this is the place to stay. We actually enjoy Watsonville more than Santa Cruz or Monterey. It is an authentic city with a hard working people (both farm-workers and residents). It is a farming community so Spanish is the most likely language to hear will walking around the park grounds or sitting by the pretty lakeside. A special tip if you are visiting is the farm stand over on Holohan and 152; great selection and prices on produce. If you are a cyclist then this place is a real treat too. You can string together a nice 15 mile loop ride using Amesti, Pioneer, Corralitos, Browns Valley, Hazel Dell, and then back on Green Valley. Nice climbs, low traffic and you ride about 5 miles through a Redwood forest! Verizon 4G struggles heavily here even on an amplifier. Neighbor had T-Mobile and said he had a great signal. Overall this park is a great stay in the area. The only negative, if it even is one, is that the park tends to cater to a lot of RVs owned by folks who are struggling to get by. If you need your neighbors to have fancy rigs this is not the place for you.

Casa de Fruta RV Park - My Rating is 4 out of 5 -- Overall I have to say this is one of the nicer parks in California. It is located in a pretty area with access to both the central valley, a National Park (Pinnacles) and the Monterey Bay area. Verzion 4G is solid and fast here. The campground itself is not the greatest... just a big paved lot but still no dust and easy for the kids to play with their bikes. We stayed a week including two weekends; during the week the places was empty except for the long termers in the back. On weekends the place was 70% full with people relaxing and enjoying a weekend. We found the restuarant, stores, train ride and carousel to all be worth their respective prices. Fuel on site is cheapest around for 20 miles and they have propane fill at the station too. The rates are a bit steep $50 for 50 amp and $42 for 30 amp. The 50 amp sites are tucked back by the playground and train track making them worth the additional fee. We would stay here again in the future.

Carson Valley Inn RV Resort & Casino - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- Great RV park in a pretty and less known area of the country. It has been cold but power stayed good and we kept the heater going. Only 35 minutes to Tahoe for skiing. They just changed the gas station from a Shell to a no brand so the prices dropped a little bit. The casino is nice and the indoor pool is relaxing. Verizon 4G is strong. We paid $36 per night.

Topaz Lake Park Campground - My Rating is 4 out of 5 -- A nice park right on the water we go here in January for opener of the fishing season every year. It was cold this year but still fun. We camp right down by the shore. Water was still low when we arrived but coming up fast.

Mount Desert Campground - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- One of our favorites. We haven't brought the camper there (yet) but the tent camping is awesome. Gorgeous views, a friendly atmosphere, and the gold standard in clean bathrooms.

Braunig Lake RV Resort - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- We just stayed last night at Braunig Lake RV Resort in San Antonio, TX. It was very nice. They had many sites available and they have loads of amenities including laundromat onsite, fitness center, pool/hot tub, propane, dump station, store, and showers that are like a private bathroom at your home. It was very close to shopping and not too far from downtown. We went to the Alamo last night and the River Walk.

Alabama Hills BLM Recreation Area - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- Stunning and amazing and incredible and amazing and all of the above. Free camping amongst a unique and picturesque mountain formation with the Sierras and Mt Whitney in the background. We spent the day exploring all the major attractions including the arches and trails. Just free boondocking on BLM land with amazing nights. Quite a bit of traffic in around this place with people exploring so make sure to secure your stuff if you leave on a hike. Verizon 4G was solid.

Red Rock Canyon State Park - My Rating is 4 out of 5 -- Very scenic setting with the sites right up against the sand cliffs. The best time is early morning as the sun rises and lights up the cliff faces (they are to your west). No cell service in the campground. Rate is steep at $26 for no hookups but the location and uniqueness is nice. We had the place to ourselves overnight and would stay here again. The road all the way back is paved and then the loop road is dirt. Most people are respectful but a few blazed thru kicking up dirt. This is my only complaint; anyone can drive thru and people do checking it out. I sent you a video of the place so others can see it first hand now. Also they say 30' max but our rig is larger and we fit fine... just a little off level.

Lakeside RV Campground - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- Our go to in the Provo area this park is well run, easy to get in and out of and has huge sites available too. In late fall the trees are all a golden orange and look magnificent in the setting sunlight. Verizon 4G works but the tower is a ways off so the signal was hit or miss. We paid $35 per night. Unlike the previous reviewer we found he long term rigs to be in good shape and everything was clean. They were very active (albeit noisy) in cleaning up all the fallen leaves... no easy task.

Cold Springs Pony Express Station RV Park - My Rating is 4 out of 5 -- 50 amp full hookups fast Verizon 4G and cell service and easy access with amazing views what more can you ask for. I will note that we opted for 30 AMP because they wanted an extra $10 for 50 AMP ($30 versus $40). Very nice staff and everything is in like new shape. Site was not level but not too far off either. They do have concrete pad sites for shorter rigs. We took an end pull thru with our huge trailer and stayed hooked up over night. The real Cold Springs Pony Express Stop is a few miles south but this place is still very cool. Would absolutely stay again.

Sacramento Pass Recreation Area BLM Campground - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- Easy access and the place was completely empty during our November trip. High altitude meant for cool night. Easy access with our rig.

Austin RV Park - My Rating is 3 out of 5 -- Very disappointed with this park. We called in advance to make sure they were open and had sites... they said yes and yes. Arrived to find the place all but empty and the sites to be in complete disarray. To their credit the utilities were on and if we didn't mind plowing through the mud piles we could have stayed. As it is we rolled on. In the summer this would be the nicer place to stay in town for small to mid sized rigs. The sites are designed for RVs with no slides so you would need to position perfect in space to pop your slides if you have them. Verizon 4G in town and you are within walking distance of the old downtown area. Sites back up to the roadway along the steep grade in and out of town so there would be noise. Arriving from the east (traveling west bound ) is easy. Arriving from the west you either need to make the sharp left back on to Water St or the first left up East St which is very steep. We took a look at the other park across the street and that is best suited to big rigs with easy to access pull thrus.

Silver Sky Lodge RV Park - My Rating is 4 out of 5 -- Wanted to stay here on our way across US 50 but it was closed already. Eureka is at a higher altitude and they already had received snow. Very easy access and large sites with good pull thrus. Up canyon from Eureka by a little less than a mile.

Major’s Station Bar & RV Park - My Rating is 3 out of 5 -- This place has a million dollar view at sunset looking east towards Great Basin National Park. Overall the RV sites are an after thought/ source of extra income. It is a huge dirt lot behind the bar with plenty of room for the biggest of rigs to back-in to the sites. It would be tight if full. 30 and 20 amp electric, water, and sewer. A bunch of their water spigots are damaged, the one we had leaked all over and caused an ice rink in the morning. At night it is very quiet. Popular spot for hunters to stay as evidenced by all the antlers and carcasses strapped to the fence line - cool but eerie too. The bar is a must see if traveling US 50 very neat old west feel with dollar bills stapled to the ceiling. We paid $30 for the night and the bar and view made it worth it. If just overnighting along US 50 this is THE place to stay rather than the KOA back in Ely. Site is off level front to back by about 4 inches over 40 feet. NO VERIZON SIGNAL AT ALL.

Sweetwater Events Complex Campground - My Rating is 4 out of 5 -- $25 full hookups large sites easy in and out 5 bars Verizon 4G... do you need more? Always events going on at the fairgrounds today it was indoor bmx racing. Great stop off I80 with scenic view of mountains. Sites are just gravel nothing destinationish but compared to the gravel lot for $40 that is the KOA in town this is great.

Eagle Soaring RV Park - My Rating is 1 out of 5 -- Why have a phone number or contact form if you are not going to respond to guests? I have tried calling and emailing this park for the last 3 weeks... no response at all. Guess they don't need or want any business.

Carl Spindler Campground - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- Incredibly reasonable rates in a nice riverside park. A lot of seasonal trailers/ RVs in here because the monthly rate is ridiculously cheap. Great trails for hiking or biking depart from the campground. Pretty water side tent and primitive RV sites. They offer some long pull thrus in the trees too. The backins are plenty big also. Great area to stop and easy in and out. Major shopping is 2 miles south. Also check out the new museum in downtown and the Caterpillar HQ Museum. Verizon 4G was excellent and so was over the air HD TV.

Cabela’s Sidney Campground - My Rating is 4 out of 5 -- Off-season rate of $25 with AAA discount and tax was reasonable. Nobody in the office so we had to go over and pay in the store... ended up spending about $40 on other things we needed so they win ;). 60' pull thrus with oddly placed utilities (electric and water way up front). Sloped a bit front to back. Verizon 4G was solid. Restaurants and fuel all around. Nice playground and everything was trimmed and proper. Overall a nice place to stop just off I-80 or US 30. We would stay here again.

Indian Hill Inn & RV Park - My Rating is 3 out of 5 -- Very disappointed with this place. First off the lady I spoke to when making reservations was rude and did not know her inventory or availability. Upon arrival we pull in and there is a big sign that says you need to register across the highway at the Inn... but you can use this courtesy phone (located on the sign post) to call, get setup, and then come over and pay. I picked up the phone and lady, a different one, was just as rude. Saying I needed to come over and register before getting setup. I argued, she relented and said we were assign site 86. Site 86 was 6" left to right off level and 4 inches front to back off level... one of the worst sites we have ever been in. When I checked in I commented on the out of level and she responded "well you could have just taken one of the other sites"... then why even tell me a site number when I called? I asked. She ended up giving me 10% off for the hassle for a rate of just over $30 for the night. Their pool was closed due to repairs from a double tornado hit. Verizon 4G signal was poor and kept dropping to 3G and 1x. Sites were plenty long. We will stay somewhere else in the future.

Muny Park - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- We paid $10 for the night with 50amp electric and water. Perfectly level concrete pad with tons of space out front for easy backin. We took the end site so our door opened to a nice grass area and the horseshoe play area. Well kept park with easy access. Our son enjoyed the playground. Verizon 4G was solid and there is diesel fuel available in town.

Caboose Lake Campground - My Rating is 4 out of 5 -- $40 per night for full hookups is a bit high for what they offer; if you have Good Sam they do offer 10% off making the price a bit more reasonable. The only game in town (and for 20 miles) they have a nice park that caters to a mix of over-nighters off the adjacent interstate and seasonals who leave their rigs here for warmer months. There is a large lake that includes a swim beach and water fun. Playground and various facilities show heavy use and were in need of repair... being said we did see them actively building/ maintaining so maybe our timing is just a bit off. Constant hum of highway noise and loud thuds from trucks exiting the highway (occasional loud exhaust brakes too). For what the park can control, their grounds, they do a good job. Roads are packed gravel and would be dusty when dry. A little tight for extra large rigs I recommend their sites on the far side of the lake if available (away from the highway). Verizon 4G had a good signal but seemed to be a bit slow on speed.

Ottawa Metro Park - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- 30 amp and water hookups for $25 in a quiet county managed park. This place is well kept with great spacing and $10 for all you can burn firewood. During the warmer months there is a swimming lake (extra fee). We enjoyed the disc golf course and the nice playground equipment along with the paved multi-use trails. Lots of locals enjoying the park on the weekend and many said they return again and again because the park is so well managed. We used it as an overnight stop easily pulling in to one of the long pull thrus. Verizon 4G was excellent and so was the digital over the air TV selection. Lima is a center of commerce for the area so there are things to do in the area. Very impressed.

Sulphur Lake Campground - My Rating is 1 out of 5 -- On 10/3 I called for a reservation for a 1 night stay and hit an answering machine that promised a return call. I never received a call back... guess they don;t need the business.

Bentley’s Saloon Campground - My Rating is 4 out of 5 -- For a weekday stop this is a steal at $30 per night. Nice camping facilities with large backin sites and a few pull thrus (although they are best suited to smaller rigs). You check-in at the bar which is a destination for aging bikers (more the doctor/ lawyer Harley folk versus the gang-banger biker types). As the weekend neared the campground started to fill and if you don't like motorcycles starting and leaving or returning from rides this isn't the place for you. Probably a totally different vibe on weekends (and more expensive too) it is a nice weekday stop along the 1 near Kennebunkport Maine. We paid $30 per night. Verizon 4G was solid.

Timberland Acres RV Park - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- We spent a month here and enjoyed every minute. A well run park with friendly neighbors this place is well suited for full-timers looking to stay near Acadia without paying the Acadia price. $800 for the month and you are 20 minutes from the Hull Visitor Center and carriage road trails. On the other side you are 1.5 miles from Walmart and other shopping and groceries; plus the cheaper fuel of Ellsworth. Huge sites with paved roads (a premium in itself in this area). Verizon 4G was solid. We would absolutely return to this park.

Sara’s Beachcomber Campground - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- What an amazing little park. Very reasonable rates and great location make this a must return. They have a lot of seasonal sites but also do a good job with short term sites too. You have the option of parking out on the sand next to the beach (best for smaller rigs and only water/ electric) or parking across the road on the concrete full hookup sites (most are suited to larger rigs too). You can leave the park on your bike and ride the 13 mile loop in Presque Isle State Park for a great bike ride or explore the beaches, lighthouses, and woodland trails. We only stayed 2 nights and were very sad to leave; you could easily spend a week, month, or season here and not get bored. Rate was $34 per night. Verizon 4G was spotty due to the hill (you drop down a grade to beach level) but was usable with an amp.

Lamb City Campground - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- We used this park as our home base for visiting Boston. It was 1.5 hours into downtown Boston and an extra 30 miles over the Minuteman but the weekly rate more than made up for the extra time. Literally half the price this was a great find. the park is huge and has lots of very friendly seasonals who showed up on the weekend. We choose their backin sites in the open area and it was perfect. 4G was great and our huge rig easily fit. Hiking through the trees and fishing lake on site. Great cycling on the backroads in the area. Overall a very good spot.

Susquehanna Trail Campgrounds - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- We really enjoyed our time at this park. Oneonta is a cool little college town with a red bricked downtown and nice community park. Reasonably close to the baseball hall of fame too. Back in site was a deal with Passport America. We had a huge yard outside our door plus they have an expansive green area. Very satisfying experience and we would definitely return. Verizon 4G was great.

Misty Mountains Park - My Rating is 3 out of 5 -- Satisfactory park for an overnight stay. The pull thrus are long but extremely close together. The neighbor had their awning out and we had to pull way far forward just to open our slide. The backins seemed to be better spaced. Well kept and good Verizon 4G coverage. Easy access to the freeway and two filling stations nearby. We paid $35 per night.

Pocono Vacation Park - My Rating is 4 out of 5 -- Nice place to stay

Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park Camp Resort Yonderhill - My Rating is 2 out of 5 -- We paid $53 for the night in a 30amp backin site that was easily 2 degrees sloped to the side and front to back. In addition their office staff sent us down a path that we barely, and I mean barely, fit due to tight trees and vehicles. The hookups were not conveniently placed and the 30amp receptacle had seen better days. The facilities were very nice though including the new playground, nice game-room, and clean pool. We stayed to visit the state fair (1 mile away) so it was convenient. The park was completely full so my gripes mean nothing. Verizon 4G was solid.

White Birches Camping Park - My Rating is 4 out of 5 -- We were so happy with this park and the location that we re-upped for another week stay. They offer huge pull thru and backin sites out in an open and terraced setting for transient guests. They also have very shaded almost forest service like camp sites back in the trees too. Their best sites for tent camping are those found up in the back of the park abutting the forest service land, very pretty. Owners are onsite and very easy to work with. We arrived during their crazy weekend with the ATVers in town for a rally so it was very hectic. The park is a bit tight to get in to with large RVs (40'+) but we did it. Great mountain biking and hiking right out of the campground. 9 miles to the base of Mt Washington. We paid $235 per week. Verizon 4G is weak and requires a repeater for good reception. Great kids areas and free bounce house.

Ponderosa Campsite - My Rating is 3 out of 5 -- They have 4 huge pull thru sites right out in the main area for short term stays. Very scenic view looking out your windows towards the wind turbines spinning in the distance. This is a seasonal park and because of this the entrance and access to the sites is too funky for us to recommend anyone with a rig larger than 40' to attempt to access. They navigate you through narrowed roads, the roads are not narrow mind you, they just make them so to direct traffic. Verizon 4G was 3 bars and the rate was $30 per night. They were the only ones in the area with a site available for the night; we would stay again if need be.

Sun Outdoors Association Island - My Rating is 3 out of 5 -- Amazing location so-so RV park. They are priced appropriately at $35 per night. Do not pay the $75 per night for the water front sites just not worth it. Facilities show deferred maintenance and have seen better days. The island is very scenic and the area is amazing. Verizon 4G was solid. A tip if you hike or mountain bike head over to Robert Wehle State Park; great trails and amazing views of rugged coastline. We would not return to this park in the future.

South Shore RV Park - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- What a great accident this park was. You probably have never heard of Sodus Point NY but it is one of those little gems that you come across while RVing. A quaint vacation community adjacent to the bay and Lake Ontario. This park is owned and run by RVers so they get it and are doing it right. There are 10 or so sites along the water that are easily the prettiest RV sites in North America. Stunning sunsets and great views all day. We were in one of their back in sites up the hill and it was peaceful and serene. Very quiet during the day and night. All of the other guests were very nice too. This was a special place that we will go out of our way to return to in the future. Verizon 4G was solid. We paid $250 for the week.

Fantasy Island Campground - My Rating is 4 out of 5 -- Nice park in a pretty setting. Got packed during the weekend we visited with friendly families out to have fun. Only complaint, if you can call it that, is that each site has a firepit... we got smoked out! The river is scenic and the area historic. Verizon 4G was solid and we paid $40 per night.

Artillery Ridge Camping Resort - My Rating is 4 out of 5 -- For the price this is the best deal in the Gettysburg area. That price by the way is the Passport America rate of $29 per night Sunday thru Thursday... otherwise the park, and this area in general, is way overpriced. The sites are gravel, grass, and weeds but everything is green and scenic so no real deduction there. the park is huge with seasonal, short term, and horse campers. The pool is small but clean and comfortable. The playground is dated but functional. Verizon 4G was great and you are within biking distance of the visitor center and NPS roads.

Prince William Forest RV Campground - My Rating is 3 out of 5 -- We stayed in one of their new 80' backin sites and the first thing we noticed is that their tape measure is very inaccurate. The site was maybe 60' if we are generous and include backing into the woods as part of the site. The sites are also very un-level sloping downhill front to back by about 2 degrees. To pile it on their rates are also very high for what they provide and the poor site layout; we paid $58 per night with our AAA discount. The pros do make up for the deficiencies though; you have adjacent access to the beautiful Prince William Forest National Park via a gravel road back to the paved roads a few miles in. The highway out front provides easy access to Manassas and Bull Run (20 miles west), Target and grocery store 1 mile east, and Interstate 95 3 miles east. With no traffic you are 45 minutes to downtown DC and the National Mall; with traffic the sky is the limit. The wonderful thing about the new backins are 50 amp hookup and quiet solitude with firepits adjacent to the scenic forest. There are plenty of deadfall branches for burning too. The pool and showers are well kept. During our 10 day stay the park remained at about 25% occupancy, I imagine due to the cons listed above. Being said we would stay here again if in the area.

R&D Family Campground - My Rating is 4 out of 5 -- Four stars for a park where we damaged our rig is saying something. Very well run rural park. They have a lot of permanents but all were exceeding polite and nice. The park is situated in a forest setting off Sparta Rd 10 miles from Bowling Green. They are also a Passport America park that took our discount for the full 10 day stay with metered electric making our daily rate $20 per night. Verizon 4G is solid. Now back to our damage; the entrance drive is a steep drop off from the highway. With our long rig the angle was too sharp and caused impact between the truck and trailer. As the driver it was my fault and we avoided the same fate on the exit by using wood blocks as we pulled out. Worth the trip just use caution pulling in and out.

Raleigh Oaks RV Resort - My Rating is 4 out of 5 -- The park has new owners that have upgraded all of the amenities and offices to top of the line. The pools, play areas, and gym are all 10 star high end stuff. During our stay, unfortunately, they had just started on the sites. Ours was covered with weeds and would best be compared to a desert dirt patch. I did speak with their new grounds-keeper, hired the week we stayed, who mentioned it was his job to turn the desert into grass. He was confident in his ability to do so and judging by the way the other parts of the park look will probably be very successful. The park is reasonably priced and convenient to the interstate. There are fueling stations nearby. A nice place to stay for a few nights. Verizon 4G was solid.

Lake Powhatan Recreation Area & Campground - My Rating is 4 out of 5 -- We ended up not staying here because we were unable to obtain a reservation. They have a bunch of full hookup sites but only a few are available on a first come first served basis. The camphosts were not very helpful. Of note is Verizon cell phone coverage; this is important to us so we pay attention, the only sites with coverage were in the Lakeside and they pulled a weak 1-2 bars of 4G coverage. With an amplifier it would be usable. All other sites had no to 1x coverage.

Camp Cardinal RV Resort - My Rating is 4 out of 5 -- You are not going here for the sites. The kids area and fun things are all very nice... the sites are way overpriced if they were the only draw. Overall this place is worth the price for a weekend of family fun in season. Verizon 4G was good and the park is close to Yorktown (return trip is a $2 toll) and amenities of civilization. We paid $80 per night but the kid was happy with the water park and games so worth it.

Thousand Trails Chesapeake Bay - My Rating is 4 out of 5 -- This was our first ever stay at a Thousand Trails park and it was probably the best park to choose. Very nice amenities, huge sites, and friendly neighbors. The pool was crowded but clean (the adult pool was undergoing renovations). We used a Ready Camp Go card and paid $184 for a 1 week stay. Spent most of our time away visiting family so can't say too much about the place other than what was said. Verizon 4G was okay but much better on a booster antenna. There are no grocery stores near by so stock up before arriving.

Carolina Beach Family Campground - My Rating is 2 out of 5 -- Luckily we ended up not staying here. Tried interpreting what this place would be like from other review sites and it was a debate between it being the Ritz or a Drug Den. Turns out it leans more toward the later but not that bad. It is filled with full-time residents and a few transient sites. I stopped by to check out the park and they had a bunch of families tent camping and those sites looked rustic and "campy". Not sure why they choose to tent camp here given the proximity of the beach or state park but just an observation. Roads where soft dirt and very dusty.

Wilson’s Riverfront RV Park - My Rating is 4 out of 5 -- The four stars for this park is primarily based upon its location alone. It is right on the river and located along the multi-use path just down the street from Carrier Park. There is a constant hum of freeway traffic noise and the occasional trucker jake brake use. The owner is very difficult to reach and if you do reach him very difficult to talk to; just his personality I think. He over-charged our credit card by $24 for our stay and I have been unable to reach him by phone so have been forced to challenge the charge with my credit card company. Verizon cell and data service with 4G is solid and easy access to the area makes this park a decent destination.

Rocky Knob Campground - My Rating is 4 out of 5 -- We were here early season so truck camped in the RV section. Had the place to ourselves. It would be crowded if busy. High elevation made for cool night. Paid $16. Cell service worked while data was weak (Verizon). Part of the Blue Ridge Parkway experience so you must stay but these campgrounds are showing their aging design.

Mile High Campground - My Rating is 2 out of 5 -- Not impressed. Very scenic views but this place is best compared to boondocking with sites scaytered along a gravel road. Felt eerie... we rolled on down the road

Sherando Lake Recreation Area - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- The forest service does it right at this great park. A short detour off the Blue Ridge Parkway this is a beautiful place to stay. We truck camped on the hillside sites. No cell or data service. Rate was $16. Only comment is don't trust rec.gov. it displayed only 3 sites available but that was 3 of the reservable sites... they had plenty of walk in sites available. The RV sites down by the river were some of the prettiest we have seen. The lake is srunning too. Very nice place.

Deep Creek Campground (NC) - My Rating is 4 out of 5 -- Nice campground for the RV sites up on the hillside. The tent sites are down by the water and are not next to the cars... requires transfer of stuff to and from camp. Verizon service is great with 4g data and 3 bars voice. Amazing waterfalls a short hike from campground. Rate is $17 per night. Bathrooms were clean but the lights stayed on all night which is a waste of electricity, causes light pollution, And draws in bugs. They have a self service credit card pay booth which is convenient but requires driving thru picking a site and then driving back to see if it is available.

The Campsites at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- Like all things Disney this park is perfect. For what you get and the access to the grounds it is worth the price. The only complaint I could really provide is that it is tight for big rigs. They have so many trees and some folks tend to park on the roads a bit so maneuvering takes patience. Once in site everything is easy to access and during the holidays people decorate their sites with Christmas lights. All very pretty, festive, and family friendly. The pools are not warm but still nice for a quick dip. Taking the boat over to Disney World is a fun way to enter the park. Expensive but worth it.

The Barnyard RV Park - My Rating is 4 out of 5 -- Very convenient stop with large sites and great spacing (for the short term sites). The longer term sites are a bit tighter, not bad, but still tighter. Sites are dirt tire runs with mowed grass. It was raining when we arrived so lots of mud. Verizon 4G data and phone service was very good. We paid $32 per night for 50 amp. Office staff was helpful and knowledgeable on where to go during a sever storm that passed during the first afternoon. Columbia is a pretty area. Just down Oak St are community parks with ball fields, tennis courts and playgrounds. There are no grocery stores in the immediate area. We would stay here again.

Hardeeville RV- Thomas Parks & Sites - My Rating is 4 out of 5 -- The previous review is outdated as Verizon has changed coverage in this area and it is now horrible. I was barely able to make phone calls and was required to setup my amplifier just to use the phone and internet. 4G is slow even over the amp. None of this is the fault of the park which is a nice park with reasonable rates. We checked out the Savanah National Wildlife Refuge 4 mile drive, Savannah, Tybee Island, and Hilton Head all from this location. Very convenient and away from the congestion of the various surrounding communities. The pull thru sites are huge and they have a new dog run. 2 fueling stations .5 mile down the road. We paid $30 per night.

Codington County Memorial Park Campground - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- Very nice park right next to the lake. Sites face opposite one another so their is plenty of room out your door. Hookups all worked fine. We stayed in the huge pull thrus out front that are easy to get in and out of... they also have a ton of smaller sites in the trees and other large sites that back up to the lake. Boat launch is right there along with a fishing pier. Amazing area and lots of fun. Verizon service was excellent.

Indian Campground and RV Park - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- A very nice and convenient RV park just off the interstate. Excellent length sites tucked under huge old trees. The pool and play area were clean. Walking distance to popular restaurants and a little drive over to old town. Verizon 4G was solid.

Fleetwood RV Park - My Rating is 4 out of 5 -- We stayed here for 2 weeks while visiting Jacksonville and attending an event downtown. The location is perfect for this purpose as it allows you multiple routes into downtown depending on traffic and accidents. Our longest commute from the site into downtown Jacksonville was 10 minutes and that was due to a train crossing. The park is very well kept by the management and their staff with a noticeable effort to make the place look good. Any negatives of the park are derived simply from its location adjacent to Phillips Hwy and in a more industrial and seedy part of town (unless you like being within walking distance of 4 strip clubs). They can't control that but what they can control they do very well. The back part of the park is all long term tenants and every single one we met was very nice and personable. In fact when we arrived back from the event late at night, about 10 pm, women were out walking laps around the park together. Our rate was $30 per night and we had a pull thru out front. Some of the back ins are tight and spacing can be a bit limited but there is plenty of parking out front and we never felt unsafe. Verizon cell and data was strong and their Cable TV was good. We would return here in the future.

Wickham Park Campground - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- One of the largest RV sites we have ever stayed at. So much room that you can park in any direction and still have ample room between you and neighbors. Surrounded by civilization this park offers everything you would need. The only issue is that their checkin is to the right as you enter but the RV sites are to the left; requires a U-turn after signing in. Popular park for local runners and bikers there is a ton to do. Reasonably priced and strong 4G. Only complaint, if you can call it that, is that the sites are natural = you need to do some leveling.

Savannas Recreation Area - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- A wonderful place to camp in a RV. Full hookup sites backed right up to the water with abundant wildlife, gators and turtles. Nice trails through the park and a quiet but well stocked town nearby. Gated at night the park is very peaceful and safe. Verizon 4G worked great and we paid about $25 per night for 50amp full hookup. As the regulars said "don't tell anyone about this place"... whoops.

Larry and Penny Thompson Memorial Park and Campground - My Rating is 4 out of 5 -- This park is very popular with snowbirds for two primary reasons and the first, and biggest is price. Their monthly rate is cheap. The second reason is it is a full hookup RV park built within a public park. Nice trails a scenic lake, playgrounds and all the things that parks provide. The price is reasonable and the sites can handle any size rig. The only gripe, if you can call it that, is that all the sites are on little circles so you end up camping right on top of one another even though there is good spacing between rigs, it just feels a little close. Verizon 4G was solid and you are right next to the Miami Zoo (but do have to drive to get there). Paid $200 for 1 week.

John Prince Park Campground - My Rating is 4 out of 5 -- Overall I would say that this is an okay park. The office staff is nice and gave us a free upgrade to a water front site because the previous tenant in our assigned site was broke down and waiting for service. The upgrade makes a huge difference as their premium sites have great spacing and back up to open space or in our case the pretty lake. The regular sites are very close together and the roads are only 18' wide so navigating is tough. The park is popular with snowbirds and has great park amenities, tons of playgrounds, walking/ biking trails, a boat launch, etc etc. I guess what drags the park down in my opinion is it is just busy and noisy. You are right next to the municipal airport so there is constant small plane noise. Plus the park is huge so lots of people in and out. The price we paid was $37 per night for full hookups. I would stay here again because there is not much choice in the area. Verizon 4G was adequate.

Sabal Palm RV Resort and Campground - My Rating is 4 out of 5 -- They had a site last minute for us to stay a few days and we really enjoyed the park. A good community of snow birds, nice managers, and a quiet setting combined to make this a pleasant stay. They have regular activities and a cool and clean pool. Not much out in this area but overall a great place to stay for a bit. Verizon 4G was strong. We paid $35 per night.

Encore Sunshine Key - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- This is true paradise. We loved and will forever cherish our two weeks at this park. The keys are an amazing place and for the price, Ready Camp Go, $20 per night this is an amazing deal and park. The pool is beautiful, the marina is great with lots of fish, manatees, and bird life, the swimming pier is amazing, and they have a great community in the winter. I can not say enough great things about this park. There are some cons, minor ones at best, road noise can be a bit heavy, Verizon 4G is weak and required an amp for us, Encore skimps on site maintenance a little. You can kayak, walk, or ride over to Bahia Honda State Park. 40 miles to Key West. Short drive over to Big Pine Key to see the key deer. Thank you for the amazing experience!

Fiesta Key RV Resort and Marina - My Rating is 3 out of 5 -- The location is amazing with incredible views but as the previous reviewer points out the park seems to be packed in and not utilized appropriately. Very tight spacing with sharp navigation for big rigs. The pool is aged and needs serious rehab along with most of the other buildings. Nice marina and the park is tucked off the Overseas Highway a little bit. Verizon 4G worked good. We stayed here with the Ready Camp Go Card for $20 per night.

Timberlane RV Park and Resort - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- Brand new park with huge sites and nice spacing. Very nice feel and pleasant owners on site. I love places like this. Easy access to the interstate and civilization but still a country feel. Verizon 4G was solid.

Fisheating Creek Resort RV Park and Campground - My Rating is 4 out of 5 -- Pros: amazing location, large sites, canoe/ kayak access to a scenic river, reasonable rates, Verizon tower within 1/2 mile for excellent data and cell service. Cons: some of the rudest camp hosts we have come across. Office staff, if they answer the phone, act as if you are doing them no favor by taking their time. The park has absurd nickle and dime fees and all of these threatening rules that pretty much end with you will be asked to leave. I guess they get a lot of weekend warriors so I assume they deal with some cruddy guests but that is no reason to be rude to everyone. My tip for this place is to find new camphosts and revamp your rules and pricing. We will not be back to this park. Sad because it is easily a 4 or 5 star place but I just can't willingly help support rude service. I will give it the 4 stars and you can decide. The park is pretty and in a neat area.

Lazy Acres RV Park - My Rating is 4 out of 5 -- This is just a quite snowbird park in the middle of the state. Reasonable rates and large backins. A bunch of park models and long term trailers but all are filled with some of the nicest folk you can meet. Most have been coming here every year for decades and all were very friendly and inviting. There is a great county park right across the street with access to the river and an animal rescue that doubles as a cheap zoo. We enjoyed our week stay and would return without hesitation. Verizon 4G was excellent. Groceries are 5 miles north.

Citrus Hills RV Park - My Rating is 3 out of 5 -- Not a bad park but beware that they do have long term tenants that act as if they own the park. We stayed on a Passport America rate which was extremely cheap for the in season. Their sites are plenty large for even the biggest rig and do have decent spacing in between. We were mixed in with the permanents, most of whom are very nice, but a few act as if they own the place. One had outside cats that spent the bulk of their time on our patio or on our vehicles. I asked the owner nicely to keep them under control and he more less told me to deal with it because he was not. The front office lady repeated his comments, guess that explains who their focus is on. Verizon 4G was solid and reasonable distance to area attractions and supplies. We would find somewhere else if in the area again.

Lazydays RV Resort - My Rating is 4 out of 5 -- Nice park but not made for the larger RVs of today. If the park is empty it is no big deal but when it fills up for the various rally events it can be very tight. They offer no weekly or monthly rates and their daily rate is quite steep. Nice facilities and pleasant staff. Good fuel choices in the area and a grocery store about 1 mile south. Verizon 4G was good.

Lost Lake RV Resort - My Rating is 3 out of 5 -- A nice, quiet park with a mix of long term and short term sites. Everyone was very quiet and kind; had some good conversations with the neighbors. We stayed here primarily for two reasons: 1. Price and 2. Access to the bike trail. Great bike riding right from camp on the Orange Trail. With Passport America we stayed for the equivalent of $15 a night during peak season. Full hookups, large site an absolute steal. If you take the toll-road you are about 20 minutes from Disneyworld, if you take surface streets the time jumps into the 40 minute range. Lots to see and do in the area but a word of advise. The park is located south of Apopka and about 1 mile north of you, looking on a map it would be on the other side of highway 414, is the bad area of Apopka. This is not a good neighborhood, it does not impact you at this park, but can impact you if you venture on the bike trail north into the late evening. Overall the park was a great stay.

Rose Bay Travel Park - My Rating is 4 out of 5 -- We happened to be in the Daytona area during a "special event" meaning that most of the other parks wanted to charge $55-$85 per night. This is a park model place with a few RV sites mixed in. They charged us $21 per night for our 9 day stay with full hookups and 50 amps. The site was a back in on freshly mowed grass (real grass by the way not that normal RV park scattered crab grass and dirt) Sites are huge. Verizon 4G was fast (the tower is just outside the park). This place would really depend on your neighbors. We did not have any immediate neighbors so it was very quiet and peaceful. We did notice when walking the park that some of the others were not as great. We would stay here again without hesitation. Note there is a go-kart and batting cage place a short walk west of the park.

St. John’s RV Park - My Rating is 4 out of 5 -- This is a Passport America park and they offered the rate for multiple days. We ended up paying under $25 per day for our stay. Convenient to St Augustine, I-95, and St Augustine Beach this park is situated well. We called ahead and reserved one fo their few pull thru concrete sites which was a bonus when it rained. A lot of longer term tenants but overall a quiet park and nothing to complain about. Verizon 4G was very fast. There is a flea market next door that we would have liked to check out if we had the chance.

Blythe Island Regional Park Campground - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- Incredible find. Their weekly rate with tax came out to $219 ($31 per day) and well worth every penny. The pull thru we had was easily 200ft long. The park is heavily forested with the type of trees only found in the south = beautiful. There is a fresh water fishing lake, bike and hike trails through the woods, a marina and access to old Georgia coast. Verizon signal is weak with an amp 4G was good but hit or miss without. We loved our stay and highly recommend this location. Only word of warning is to not arrive here for your first time after dark. It is a bit of a maze getting to the sites; arrive in the day and you will be much happier.

Harvest Moon RV Park - My Rating is 4 out of 5 -- Well run park convenient to the interstate. Very easy in and out with well spaced sites. There is a trailer service shop right next door which was very convenient; they fixed a problem I had on ours for free so huge plug for them and a big thank you. Owners and office staff were all very nice and they had free popcorn available all day (the kid loved it). We were able to loop together some back-roads northeast out of the park for a 17 mile bicycle ride with next to no traffic (in 3 rides we were passed by a total of 10 vehicles!) The historic downtown is very nice and they have a free museum at the old train depot. Verizon 4G and 3G were solid. Really one of the best games in the entire area so they charge accordingly; we paid $37 per night.

King’s Holly Haven RV Park - My Rating is 4 out of 5 -- We arrived at the end of the peak season so we had no neighbors for the bulk of our stay. This created an open feel that was very nice. The back-in sites are huge. This park is great for families not because of the park itself but because of the amazing community park right next door. They have spent millions on this community park and we spent several hours every day over there playing. Quiet location off the main road and away from the circus of main street. Enjoyed the area and community; we would stay here again. Verizon 4G was solid. Non-peak season $29 per night.

Victory RV Park and Campground - My Rating is 4 out of 5 -- Veru large and level pull thru sites that were easy to get in to. We were able to stay hooked up with no leveling needed at all. There is a mix of long term and short term sites but everything is clean. We liked the country setting it was very peaceful and quiet. Rate is very reasonable plus they sell propane. Verizon 4G worked great. Definitely visit downtown Paducah.

Cumberland Mountain State Park Campground - My Rating is 4 out of 5 -- The full hookup sites are located within loop A within the trees. very scenic setting but the trees limit access for larger rigs. We fit our 44' RV into a site but it took a while and lots of patience to avoid damaging anything. Sites are not level at all. Utilities worked well. We were there in the fall and the trees dropping the golden leaves were very pretty. Great hiking trails in the park. Located in the historic Homestead area. Verizon 4G worked with our amp. Rate was reasonable. The partial hookup sites are newer and more open.

OK Campground - My Rating is 3 out of 5 -- An appropriately named park. It was OK. Site was long enough for us to stay hooked up but was very unlevel side to side. A number of long term guests with older rigs but the park did not feel creepy or scary; in fact we met a few of the locals and they were all very nice. For $25 per night this is the best deal near Nashville. From the park there was the choice of taking the interstate or US 431; 431 is a scenic drive down into Nashville plus it avoided the traffic on the interstate. Using this route you are exactly 15 miles from the Grand Ole Opry and Opry Mills. Verizon 4G worked great. Fuel station right on the corner with Diesel.

Ozarks Mountain Springs R.V. Park & Cabins - My Rating is 3 out of 5 -- Convenient overnight stay at the park. Sites are not very level but workable. Verizon 4G works with an amp but is hit and miss without. Only thing that bothered me is that they took my credit card info over the phone for the reservation but on arrival I was told they do not take credit cards and I would have to write a check. No malicious charges have occurred but that is a bad business practice.

Arrowwood Resort & Conference Center - My Rating is 3 out of 5 -- Scenic setting and access to the resorts indoor pool made this a good place to stay. The resort is currently dumping a ton of money into shoring up the banks of the river damaged from flooding (one of the site pads even collapsed). This diversion of capital is evident in lack of maintenance on the rest of the RV sites. They aren't run-down but you can just tell there is a slight lack of maintenance. The price for the week was $30 per night and it is a unique location. We will stay here in the future assuming they finish their repairs and get back to running the resort. Verizon 4G was great.

Shooter’s Bar & Grill RV Park - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- Owner went out of his way to accommodate us. Easy access sites on mowed grass. Verizon 4G was solid. We have family in the area and this is our go-to spot. The OHV area is great for mountain biking too!

Lebanon Hills Regional Park Campground - My Rating is 3 out of 5 -- There is not much competition in the area for full hookup campgrounds so this one is one of the better options. We were unimpressed with the park managers and their overzealous water shutoff policies (predicted low was 37F but they were shutting the water off anyways). Verizon 4G is spotty because you are in a depression; required an amp to get a steady signal. Sites are hit and miss whether they are cramped or not (ours was). Pretty area with trails for hiking or mountain biking. Nice area of the state and city, convenient to Mall of America and St Paul (where we visited family). Paid around $30-$35 per night.

Margaret MacNider Campground - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- Very nice city owned campground with some great campground hosts. The full hookups are all backins and easy to get into with any size rig. The pull thrus are partial hookup and not level front to back (at all). Scenic river, awesome looking water park, and multi-use trail are all accessible from this location. Price was reasonable ($25) and Verizon 4G worked so we were happy.

Walnut Woods State Park Campground - My Rating is 4 out of 5 -- We lucked into this one. There is literally one site in that can accommodate a rig of our size and we got it. Site 1; any of the other sites you would be limited to about 38' max. There are numerous obstructions that make backing difficult, site 1 has a roadway straight ahead so you can pull up that and back straight in; leaving you go out the loop and out the entrance avoiding the tight exit by the dump station. $14 per night for full hookups (off-season) and a scenic setting. Verizon 4G was great.

Branson Lakeside RV Park - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- Perfect weather, perfect site, and great customer service make this park a 5 star in our book! We had site 83 which is on the end with an amazing view of the river and arch bridge. A couple steps to the fishing piers and waterside. 3/4 mile walk down to the famous landing outdoor mall. Branson impressed us. Rate came out to $30 per night for our 1 week stay. The best sites in the park are the end ones otherwise you are sharing a yard with your neighbor. Just a fun fun atmosphere that made this a great stay. Verizon 4G was solid.

Missouri State Fairgrounds Campground - My Rating is 2 out of 5 -- Roads are dirt and sites are grass which are fine except when it rains; then the roads become rutted and the sites become mud... not fun in a big rig. Cheap place to stay overnight and easy in and out. Best option in the area. Verizon 4G was great.

Sleepy Hollow RV Park - My Rating is 4 out of 5 -- Not a bad place to stay. Sites are very level and have reasonable space. Walking distance over to Wall Drug. A 60 mile loop from the campground through Badlands National Park and back. Fuel is pricey in this town so fill up somewhere else. Verizon 4G was solid. Paid $29 per night.

Trailside Park Resort - My Rating is 4 out of 5 -- Took the advise and got site 10 and I have to agree it is the best one in the park. Feels very private with a view of the Mickelson Trail train trestle and the little creek flowing in the back. We arrived after Labor Day so got their off-season rate bringing the nightly down into the mid-$30 per night range. Great location for visiting the Black Hills, enjoying the trail, and going into Hill City. Verizon 3G is nearly faster than 4G! Very Good

7TH Ranch RV Park - My Rating is 4 out of 5 -- We stayed Friday of Labor Day weekend and the park only had about 10 rigs in it. We got their premier site at the very top of the park and enjoyed the picturesque views from our dining room window. The interior roads are gravel and steep plus they discourage you from cutting through other sites making it a bit of a maze getting into. The host leads you to the site erasing the potential issues but still a bit of a navigation chore with a big rig. Nice grass area out the door and coyotes howling in the canyon above. The frontage road takes you right down to the turn off to Little Big Horn and when you get the map in the park you realize that the RV Park is on one of the routes used by the Army on their way into battle. Office staff was professional and you get a free ice cream cone upon arrival. Price is normal for the state $38 per night. Verizon 3G and 4G can be spotty but did work for phone and data.

Grandview Campground & RV Park - My Rating is 4 out of 5 -- This park surprised us. As you pull in you go past an old mobile home park and start to think uh-oh but then you get to the park. Very large entry road with clean looking facilities. Turns out the above mentioned mobile home park is not at all related to this place. We are about 65 feet long and were put into a back in that was the easiest back-in I have ever entered. The site was also perfectly level with a nice grass area and picnic table. They have an ice cream social as noted in the other review. We checked out the KOA up the street and were very glad we stayed here. This is the nicest place in the area. There is a fuel station directly across the street and the diesel pumps line up as a straight shot when you pull out. Verizon 3G and 4G were solid and fast. We paid about $37 per night. We will return.

Dicks RV Park - My Rating is 4 out of 5 -- I really liked this park but my wife did not; since I am writing the review you get my opinion! A large park located in an urban setting with immediate access to the River Trail bike path. There are grocery, hardware, and other stores just across (actually under) the highway from here. The office staff was a bit off but professional and got us assigned. The sites are very good sized and have enough, not a lot, room between one another. Mowed grass patios and gravel pads (although some of the longer term sites are paved). You are sandwiched between two major roadways so there is a din of city traffic most hours. It is an urban campground so that can be expected. Verizon 3G is super fast and 4G is adequate, 4-5 bars for calls. Access is through a neighbor and by some industrial businesses and then under a 14' clearance train bridge (never saw a train during our 3 day stay). The cons are some of the longer term rigs are a bit older and used looking, the short term sites are on crushed gravel and are very unlevel, they have a storage row in the back that brings down the appearance ambiance of the place, and the price is high for short term stays ($37 per night with discount). I would stay here again without hesitation.

North American RV Park & Yurt Village - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- A nice RV park with easy access for larger rigs. The place is very popular and fills up quick during peak months. We stayed for 1 month and the total rate for 30 days was $800. For the price, in the location, and during the season this can not be beat. There is now 4G Verizon service in this area but there is a hill blocking direct access. We have an amplifier and were able to get fast steady service with that; phones on their own struggled.

Kintla Lake Campground - My Rating is 3 out of 5 -- Very disappointed with this campground. First the really bad = the park service misleads you to believe this place fills up early. The night we stayed there were 2 empty sites but when we asked they said it filled completely at 3; not sure why they are lying but very disconcerting. After a run in with the on-site Park Ranger we may have found the reason. This guy (ED: name removed) was downright rude and mean. He was making disparaging comments about campers and proceeded to post all these signs right around us banning foot-traffic through and around the campsite. We are very respectful and never trample plants but were made to feel like we somehow had done something wrong; it was very strange. He obviously had some sort of beef with us and later approached me while I was grooming and accused me of breaking some sort of rule, which I had not, and did not even allow me to respond before walking away. Outside of their personnel issues the campground is very tightly packed with sites right on top of each other, your neighbor burps and you hear it. The lake is pretty and there is an easily accessible boat launch. The road is not maintained but gets enough traffic to remain passable; very slow going unless you don't care about your vehicle (which many of the rental drivers seemed to not). The good - just down the road from the park you can spot Bald Eagles nesting in a burned out tree; sunset is amazing over the lake, and the river provides a nice soothing chorus for the night. We will not be back. Paid $15.

KOA Missoula - My Rating is 4 out of 5 -- Ended up passing on this place and glad we did. Just not for us. Stopped by and it felt very busy and crowded. You are in an urban setting in a park surrounded by mobile homes. They keep the grounds clean but wanted almost $350 for a one week stay.

Granite Peak RV Resort - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- Great place to stay. The sites are plenty large for any size rig but not perfectly level; took some work to level up. Their pool, playground, mini golf, and other amenities are all in great shape, very clean, and popular. We had been turned off to the Jellystone brand due to our experience near Estes Park but this place may have changed our minds. The only comment I have is a suggestion that they consider using campground management software as the staff got a bit confused with site assignments with their paper system. Pricing was very reasonable for the week at $230 total. 4G Verizon was great. A family oriented park. There are fueling stations right up the road (including an outdoor Redbox). Only other tip to add is that you should use caution entering and exiting on the highway; the cars travel really fast (65-70mph).

Bernie & Sharon’s Riverfront RV Park - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- This park officially goes down as one of our hidden favorites. Located in the country just 10 miles north of Deer Lodge and easily off I-90 the place is perfect. We paid only $28 per night for full hookups in a site that was long enough to fit two of our rigs in it. Staff was a bit confused when we first arrived because they had lost our reservation but luckily the owner is a bit of a tech renaissance in the RV industry and uses text based confirmations; I simply showed them my text and they apologized for the confusion. Description above pretty much sums it all up. Only issue is that the park is on the fringe of (Verizon) 4G meaning we had to use an amp to get 4G otherwise it is relatively fast 3G. We didn't learn about the pond across teh tracks until our last day so don't make our mistake. Apparently Moose and Beaver call it home so check it out.

Absaroka Bay RV Park - My Rating is 4 out of 5 -- For the location and amenities this park is a good deal. We stayed 2 weeks while visiting the Cody, Red Lodge, and Yellowstone areas and at just over $30 per night average this was a great deal. The park is surprisingly quiet and peaceful given its proximity to stores and the road. It is a quick bike ride through the neighborhood, down a dirt trail, and into downtown Cody. Yellowstone is an all day trip to and from the park. Verizon 4G service was solid. We would stay again.

Ennis RV Village - My Rating is 3 out of 5 -- Not too impressed with this park I guess the best word for it is deferred maintenance. There are weeds everywhere and the wood site markers are all pulling up exposing long rusted nails. Office manager was nice and the town of Ennis is very quaint but this park just seems to be sliding downhill. Hopefully it is just a fluke thing but time will tell. Verizon 4G works great in this area and you are only 15 minutes from Virginia City and Nevada City. We paid $35 with discount after taxes. Pros huge pull thru sites with decent spacing between rigs; nice neighbors, pretty views.

Slough Creek Campground - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- Probably the best and most remote of the vehicle accessible campgrounds in Yellowstone National Park. A small scattering of sites right along the river banks. Very quiet at night and a lot of neighbors that were "Yellowstone Experts". We lucked out on a busy weekend snagging the last empty site for our one night stay. Very knowledgable camp host and little to no traffic make this a great place to camp in a tent in Yellowstone. No cell service. Don't be surprised if you see Bison, Elk, or Bears here we saw all three during our one night stay.

Bridge Bay Campground - My Rating is 3 out of 5 -- For tent camping, which we did, this is one of the more crowded places in Yellowstone. We had 3 neighbors all within 100 yards in an open setting. The first night it was fine with all the neighbors being quiet and respectful but on the second night the new arrivals were incredibly loud and rude until midnight. We will never stay here again in a tent unless we can get a site in the D+ loops where there are trees and separation. The other big problem with this campground, and rather shocking too, is there is a complete lack of bear boxes (1 per 10 sites) meaning that we had to keep scented items inside the car right next to us! Not a good deal for camping. Only advantage is it is right next to the marina allowing easy access to fishing and boating. Verizon service was weak to non-existent. We paid $14 per night.

Parkside Campground - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- A very nice forest service campground adjacent to the creek. It is managed by a concessionaire whose camp host was unaware of the new Access Passes and tried denying us the use of it; very strange that the Iron ranger is so easily accessed by the camp host but I guess they trust them. He finally gave in when I threatened to call the Ranger. Two weeks before the 4th of July and the place was nearly empty; we had a prime spot overlooking the creek, which was roaring with snow-melt made for peaceful sleep. No Verizon service, very quiet at night, well kept pit toilet. There are a number of campgrounds in this immediate area plus dispersed camping a little further off the main highway. Beartooth Highway needs to be on your bucket list.

RedRock RV Park and Campground - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- This park is everything they bill themselves to be. Very nice and friendly staff and on-site owners, humongous shared lawn pull thrus, super quiet nights and days (for the most part), easy access to outdoor activities, and not too far from West Yellowstone. The only downside for us is that the park is located in a depression behind a knoll; this knoll severely curtails Verizon coverage inside the park. .25 miles up to the top of the hill and the signal is great. They offer a Good Sam discount but it still is a little pricey, much less than West Yellowstone parks but still a little high, after taxes we averaged just under $50 per night for 14 days. The owners went out of their way to make our stay pleasurable. This park should be a consideration for you if staying in the area.

Henry’s Lake State Park Campground - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- They have full hookups now for about $32 per night; very large sites both pull-thru and backin with plenty of space in between. Paved roads and pads with a nice shower/ bathhouse. Verizon 4G is excellent here and it provides easy access to the lake and West Yellowstone area. A must visit. Only issue is they charge additional for any extra cars.

Atherton Creek Campground - My Rating is 4 out of 5 -- Great views of the lake and across to the distant Tetons. Only 10 miles from Gros Ventre and a heck of a lot less crowded or expensive. Mosquitoes tried to carry the baby away they were so thick. Camp hosts take their job seriously here. Verizon signal was just out of reach for us but maybe with a booster it would work. People fished from shore next to the campground and there is a boat launch too.

Casper KOA - My Rating is 3 out of 5 -- Decent overnight KOA. Verizon 4G worked well. Easy access to I-25 and a few miles out of Casper.

Timber Creek Campground - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- The perfect overnight campground. Late spring camping on a Monday night with about 20 others spread out very evenly throughout the park. Elk and moose grazed all around us. Beautiful sunset, sunrise and weather. Restrooms were very clean and camp hosts were visible but not obtrusive. Only complaint is that their firewood was moist causing smokey fires. No Verizon cell service. Awoke the next morning refreshed and ready to drive over the mountain.

Steamboat Springs KOA - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- We stayed a week at this park pre-season or during "mud season" as the locals call it and we fell in love. We had the place to ourselves and enjoyed the views and park. It would be a bit crowded when full but this park is in a great location. 1/2 mile on the highway gets you over to the paved bike trail along the river. Speaking of the river we took one day to shuttle up and ride the kayaks back down to the take-out by the tent camping areas. We will return. Paid @$40 per night Verizon 4G was solid.

Curt Gowdy State Park – Granite Point Campground - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- Nothing like a the first week of June in Wyoming. We enjoyed an absotuley beautiful weekend at Granite Reservoir in Curt Gowdy. Amazing mountain bike trails, fun kayaking, and warmth were all there to greet us. Have zero complaints. The water is filled to the top allowing for great shore fishing. Cell reception is weak or non-existent.

Fossil Valley RV Park - My Rating is 4 out of 5 -- A nice little downtown RV Park. Owners keep the middle row of pull thrus open for short term guests. Groomed grass in between. Enough room for our large fiver huge shade trees. Grocery store is across the street and a fueling station is next door. Also an auto parts store is next door and they are open on Sundays! Weekly rate with discount was reasonable averaging out to $28 per night. Cell and data service is fast. 20 minutes to Dinosaur National Park. We will return when in the area.

Moab KOA - My Rating is 4 out of 5 -- Amazing views from this park. Incredible sunsets every night looking across the valley at the La Sal Mountains. The best sites for RVS are not the expensive sites; instead stay in the standard full hookup pull thrus as they are on the back of the property away from the road. Place filled up almost every night. Camp hosts that greeted us were very nice. Pool does not open until mid-May. A very nice community pool is located in Moab. All dirt and sand meaning that the spring winds quickly became dust storms. Verizon 4G is faster than in town. Our rate ended up being $42 per night with discounts.

Grand Canyon Railway RV Park - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- Nice RV park right next to the main hotel and famous train. Weekly rate was reasonable. We like Williams great access to the forest and walking distance from the park into old town main street and the supermarket. The pool was refreshing albeit a little cool. Verizon 4G and phone were excellent. 60 miles into Grand Canyon via a dangerous two lane road; watch out for vehicles passing we were almost killed twice and that is no exaggeration. Rate was $35 per night. BNSF train runs along the tracks multiple times during the day which we liked but you may not. The only park in town with paved roads and sites keeping dust to a minimum.

Goulding’s Lodge Campground - My Rating is 4 out of 5 -- Amazing sunset views from this park looking east towards monument valley. A number of photographers setup their cameras right there in the campground. rate was $45 per night with AAA discount. Tours left right from the office. Sites are hit and miss for large rigs; we were assigned one that was too angled and caused damage. Still rated 4 stars because of the beauty of this place. Verizon phone is great data is 1x (slow). We will return.

Arizona Maverik RV Park - My Rating is 3 out of 5 -- The manager of this park is a very nice lady who goes out of her way to make sure your stay is comfortable and safe. There are basically two sides to this park and it all depends on where you are located. The prime spots are in the back away from the street. It is very quiet and peaceful back there. If you are on the first row by the street it is a totally different story as traffic is heavy and loud. The rate is reasonable for the season and the neighbors, a mix of permanent residents and snowbirds, are all respectful and nice. The park breaks from the Phoenix norm and allows families making for a more youthful feel to the place. Convenient to the highways this park is a good home base for a few days or weeks. All except one of the sites are back-ins and the pull thru is a quasi pull thru where you drive across the entrance to one of the back-ins between an electric box and light pole. Verizon 4G was good in this area. We will stay again if back in the area.

Fairgrounds RV Park - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- Easy in and out for a large rig. I would say half of the rigs in this park are simply stored units for locals. Very quiet and peaceful. They have started up the race track down the road again so Saturdays you here the hum of engines but nothing too bad. 25 minutes from Jerome and about 20 minutes from Prescott this is a convenient spot to stay in the area. Rate averaged out to about $25 per night for our 2.5 week stay. Verizon 4G was great.

Mesa / Apache Junction KOA - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- We ended up spending almost 4 weeks total at this KOA over the course of our 3 month stay in the greater Phoenix area and our overall experience was very good. All of the staff members were personable and helpful, the grounds were well maintained, and the neighbors were friendly. The sites are large enough for any rig and relatively easy to maneuver in and out of. The location is also outside of the main town and easy to get to off US 60. The only comment we have is that Verizon coverage is very weak with 3G slightly better than the scattered 4G (not the fault of KOA at all just a note for reference). We will stay again. Rate ended up being about $35 per day.
